So I decided to take a trip up to Knox County to re-record this nice, classic SD-10 located at Washington Elementary. Ever since Leopold's SD-10 was replaced, this has become the closest one to me as these sirens start to become ever more scarce. This one sounds pretty healthy and loud especially directly underneath. You can get some nice reverb if you place a mic right around the corner. But as always, it was another fun experience and props to the EMA who met up with me and for also setting this off for the full cycle. They actually set off the entire system from the SUV to the right.
Sirens in Knox County are usually tested on Saturdays at 11:30 by the EMA on mostly clear days. Tests are usually not conducted during the winter, especially if the temperatures are below freezing. If you're interested in recording here, definitely check with the EMA first.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!
