That’s great to hear! FYI, when you install the head back on, it would be great if you were also able to fix the small & easily fixable problem with the blower. The blower on this siren is reverse wired, it should be pushing air outward to increase the siren’s volume, and when it’s reverse wired, it sucks in the air which causes the siren to loose an (albeit small, but still noticeable) amount of it’s output volume. While it’s very loud already, fixing this problem can make it even louder. It’s a very easy fix (maybe 5-10 min maximum). All you have to do is interchange the “T1” and “T2” wires for the blower output inside of the RCM (Control cabinet). Once this is done, the pitch of the siren will be slightly deeper and you’ll notice more of a guttural sound than you’re hearing now. It will increase the output volume some, which will make the sound propagate even farther. It probably happened by accident if the electric service to the siren was changed, or even during the repairs in the past. Can’t wait to hear it running at its full potential!

They more or less forgot to connector the rotator motor wires when they put this loner head up.

Yes it is back up. Still a work in progress. We are currently working on the blower wiring issue and solenoids. But it is functional.

They actually didn't. It did attack because the solenoids were either not hooked up on this one or there aren't any to begin with. The original 1003 head is back and the solenoids do work so it does alternate wail once again.

The Howard County EMA is in charge of the system, including the 1003. The fire department has no jurisdiction over the sirens.

There's a car repair shop in town that is in possession of A 1003. It's said to be the original but from the pictures I was shown there are a few differences between it and the original...
