Located in the Byron Hinterland 20 km west of the regional center of Byron Bay is the quaint village of Federal. Today is a sunny winter day and we go for a stroll through the village on a Saturday morning.
The area of Federal has a population of about 1000 and has historic past of timber getting and agriculture. Lush and green with lots of surrounding National Parks Federal is a popular location for visitors and people moving to the area.
