At 3:05 video shows one safety chain hooked onto converter dolly and 1 safety chain laying on the ground. Driver is lucky this didn't come apart and injure or worse. Depending upon where this was dispatched out of it stayed together for quite a while. Most of those converter dolly's have a button you push to release air on dolly. Having dummy glad hands to block the fittings would help you air from the rear instead of caging brakes. Great job.

Nice recovery guys. I have found in the past for doing single lane recoveries on pups with a stationary boom another good way to do them is to run your recovery line to a snatch block up on the boom and back to the front corner of the trailer so you can use your second line as a catch, but in this case with the factors of degree of the ditch slope and with it being fully loaded and being able to use the right lane to angle your wrecker to the load you were having to lift , you guys weren't left with too many options. I am surprised at how many of your recoveries you guys do that the highway patrol doesn't offer you more protection for more room to make your recoveries. Great work though. Way to go Murphys Towing👍👍👌🦾

I pulled doubles and triples for many years out here in the West. It always seemed to be Fed Ex in the weeds. Not Fed Ex Freight. Fed Ex ground ( parcel ) Different training maybe? Ha! Good job fellas. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.

When FedEx says ground they literally mean it damn wiggle wagons why did the converter come loose. I worked there 10 yrs the shit ya see🤙🇺🇸🤙

Converter dolly looked okay, possible someone forgot to put the latch down on the pintle hitch on the first pump or it ripped off the pintle hitch on the first pump. But most dolly's have a air chamber that tightens up on the dolly connection. No doubt it will be deemed "driver fault".

How did the pintle hitch look on the first pup. Converter dolly looked okay as far as I could see. 5 th wheel stayed connected so no " high hook" or not properly latched.

After reviewing in slow motion it looks like pintle hitch on lead pup has the safety latch up or open. Safety chain bar looks like one side is ripped off.

They do help block lanes if it’s in the roadway. If it’s not in the roadway they will stay until another priority call comes.

It does not increase maneuverability. It increases stability just in case you blow a steer tire. It does increase capacity as well.

It is very rare anyone has somebody on site for the actually recovery. Once in a while they supervise a transload.
