Because it was. And I'm not saying he was wrong for it, I've also had to murder certain dangerous or pesky animals and insects myself because they also encroached upon my territory or are damaging it. But it's all still murder because how could they possibly recognize the area in which they are in? They were simply just moving around, found somewhere to chill for a bit and never outright attacked anyone until someone came up to it and outright killed it just for being there. Same thing we do to other dangerous animals and bugs around our areas. It's not their fault, they didn't seek us out, but we still have to dispatch them because if not they'll harm or kill us by accident because they don't understand us nor our intentions in nearly the same way that we do theirs since we are, again by no faults, simply vastly more intelligent and dominant compared to them. Snakes don't "attack", they defend. That snake was already over there, where the dog was sniffing, and it waited for the people/dog to leave before it moved to the other side. Snakes are really not out to get us, you know. They want to be left alone. (To clarify, the steps are no place for the snake, and I'm glad it was removed.)

People whose first reaction is to excitedly kill something are usually psychopaths.

Still, I don't know if I would want to do it. I'm glad this driver kept the family safe. That's always the most important thing. 🛑DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS🛑 By doing what man did above, you will put yourself in unnecessary risk for yourself and others around you. According to a study by U.S hospitals more than 67% of snake bites occur when people try to kill/capture venomous snakes. Not only do they pose a risk when they are alive, but they pose the same envenomation/bite risk when they are dead due to how the nervous system works with these animals. For the safety of your pets, children, family and wildlife please contact your local/state wildlife services when you encounter these and other potentially dangerous animals such as bears, bats, etc.

I agree. The snakes do NOT want to attack humans and even their severed heads can be dangerous for a long time after the head is severed from the body.
