Part one of a four part video where over 80 fedex airplanes take off using all available runways between 2:30am and 4:30am. Unfortunately I was only able to record one of the runways, 18R, but still had a good bit of traffic
Yeah, I know what you mean. I guess we must be a class unto ourselves in that respect, and I am damn proud to be a part of them! A definite bonafide aviation fanatic here for sure!
kenpalmer1965 Is there anything that can be done about whatever frequency or sound the planes have been emitting for the past 12 weeks? It is horrible. I am in Alabama & can tell when they are lining up to come back to Memphis & it wakes me up between 3:45-4:00 a.m. when they line up to leave. I look at the plane app & sure enough, there is a huge amount lined up. I have screen snapped it. Is this a new system? I have lived here 17 years & this just started 12 weeks ago. It is so irritating. Shattered my peace.
Don’t worry, we hear it in Alabama at 3:45-4:00 a.m. It is annoying. Hate whatever sound they are emitting. It never fails to wake me up. When I go to the plane app, they are lined up leaving Memphis. Hear the garbage when they are lined up to land in Memphis too. No peace anymore.
I wish they would change whatever frequency they use. I am a state away from Tennessee & every single time their planes line up to come in, it makes the most irritating sound. Wakes me up at 3:00 a.m. I can tell when FedEx & UPS begin lining up. I know UPS is Kentucky but it is just as bad. I wonder if it bouncing waves off of our cell towers or wifi? It is annoying. If anyone knows what it is, please tell me.
Tristen Parker Kind of similar to Starlink. Starlink has permission to operate on a certain frequency. I am curious if FedEx operates on a certain frequency or something. It may or may not be a frequency but I don’t know how to describe the noise. It is beyond irritating. It always happens when they are nearby & lining up to land at the airport an entire state away. I understand they have to fly & have to go back & forth but I don’t understand the noise, signal or whatever it is. It is a NOISE.
Instead of bitching about something someone decided to do for the fun of it and share. Explain what you would of like to of seen and maybe the next time he can capture it.
