A race-to-8 double elimination bracket will reduce the field to 32 players who will then face single elimination, race to 10, to determine the champion.
This will be the ninth staging of the men’s World 8-Ball Championship. It had previously been played in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates before being revived from a ten-year hiatus in Puerto Rico last year.
Also taking place in Klagenfurt this week: the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Women’s Championship (18-22 October) and the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Junior Championships (19-22 October), which has divisions for Girls, Boys Under-19s and Boys Under-17s.

no it's not they get longer after the break and they have an extension, if you take over 30 seconds per shot then you are the kind of player that I hate to play against.

ohhh! i never realized the reason for gorst rubbing that vaseline looking stuff on the bottom of his chin until this match. its to lubricate it so the cue can slide against it since his chin rests right on top of it during his stroke!

due all to often .. and, caused by the various lighting .. many times it is very hard to know or seeing great glare reflected off the balls .. means, we the Internet and Tv viewers and would be .. or could be many more .. if the BALLs were identified by an arrow or or circle pointing to the balls b4 the shot.. or what we are seeing.. please? why why should we watch if you can't tell what you are speaking of.

George is outdoing himself with incredible errors.He has said so many mistakes,I sit in horror, aghast at what I hear. But this flub kind of tops ( for this match up to now) his current gaffes . Fedor breaks straight down the middle. AND George says: “That’s what happens when you break from the side.” Keep it up George, there is plenty of time left, maybe you can break your record of Just Plain Wrong. “Absolutely a case of Mouth not connected to the brain “
