Hey guys, Nura here! This is my contribution to this year's Fire Emblem E3. For more frequent content, follow me on Twitter: @Nuraamon If you have any questions you can contact me there or on FEUniverse.
The quality of these animations shows so much dedication and effort. Great work and major props to Nuramon. The Fiend animation is definitely my favorite.
loving the animations. it takes me back to high school when i first started playing FE Blazing Blade, Binding Blade and Sacred Stones. Makes me wish Intelligent Systems would go back to the older FE games and give them a proper facelift and update.
Not really; but alot of maximum limits were usually set to default at 255; though for most of my life i didn't know more of 100% was possible until FE6; more specifically Rutger.
Thank you! Duma was a collab between a very talented spriter going by L95 and myself. She handled most of the spritework on the still and the dying anim, while I made the attack and intro animations. IIrc it took us over a year to finish this beast xD
@@19Nura92 bebo please whenever make another sequal for fire emblem sacred stones rom hack i would love you and pay you for the game if you guys add these kinda details like the. Duma cause you guys need make your own fire emblem sn i support you
I featured these custom animations of yours - and the ones from the previous years - in a comprehensive video collection of mine that includes hundreds of custom GBA animations from other pixel artists. Just telling it to you to be fair.
Thank you! But tbh the credits are quite bare bones. Simply listing off the creator's names doesn't count as proper credit in my book. I would have prefered if one could tell which anims were made by whom.
The shield smash on the Fiend is something we should honestly just see from more units in general. Shield beating to scare enemies/distract them was a pretty common thing, after all.
I like the character @2:30 but why myrmidon, and lets say myrmidon don't use shields, they are more of a samurai not a knight, you should put that character as the hero class for the mercenary
It's a recreation of the SoV class which sort of is a equivalent to the Hero class in other titles but here it's called myrmidon. That's why I've named it SoV Myrmidon ;) But yeah, it's a good fit for merc as well.
Eh not a fan of Duma's animated, it's really missing the charm if a massive pile of snot that was the original Duma animation and looks far less decayed than the Echos amination.
@BitterOrange The fuck, there are many things you could say about FE2's animations ugly is nowhere even on the list. Then again I might be biased toward them because of Alms, Celicas, and Dumas animations.
That's fair, tastes differ. A goopy duma would have been cool as well but thing is I'm not that good at animating fluids so we opted for something a bit more in line with my abilities. But I think you'll like his death animation ;)
all of your animations are awesome as always, but I still feel like regular Alm could do without taking his sword all the way back before a swing, even link has fewer frames for a jump and slash.
I'm still mindblown about the Duma Model. Masterfully! 3:15 This knight is prolly my favourite sprite out of all SOV custom anims. It overpowers the normal knight so greatly it is almost funny. Sacred Echoes already is and will be a legendary hack to experience. Your work adds to that.
Alm still feels *weak* and flowy , and where the sword ends up feels wrong like it's on the wrong layer? It just doesn't match everything else. That said, the part of the critical where he raises his sword and starts swinging feels nice. The other animations feel very powerful, which is good, though the Myrmidon especially feels overanimated compared to other enemies. And, of course, Duma looks incredible, how'd you even do that.
These are all really cool, but I do wonder if fighter alm's could be made a little more similar to how he is in echoes proper. In these animations he kinda just stands around with his sword held loosely to his side, which is a STARK contrast from his stance in echoes being held up and pointed in the direction of the enemy. Still, in motion, these are all really cool! Great job!
I wonder if I mis remember how fast gba fire emblem animations were, but I did kind feel like Alm, soldier and myrmidon ones played bit too long. Fiend, Duma and Alm Duma finisher were great though(the lenght really works to make fiend more heavy feeling as well)
Looks incredible! Really nice pixelart! The best is Duma because of how massive and detailed the sprites for him are. It looks great. His magic animations are the best ones for him imo. The Fiend is the 2nd best. Really big and menacing, shield bash crit is badass, attacks feel powerful.
Hello guys...just got here by YT recommendations. What is all this for? Are all these animations included in a game/mod? Whats the name where can I get it?
It’s a rom hack of Fire Emblem Sacred Stones which is called Sacred Echoes, which is a fan demake of Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia in the fe8 engine. It’s really great.
I have no idea how I ended up fire embler videos. I literally don't know anything about the game but I find it interesting. Can someone show me a guide where to start?
I'd say download any of the gba games. The tutorials do a good job of getting you started. The newer entry's are definitely more complicated and don't explain things as well. Been playing for 22 years always happy to help someone find their way into them
