Coach, would you then recommend speed days back to back, or something like game speed practices on Monday/Wednesday and recover/x-factor type practices on Tues/Thurs? I always heard about 48 hour recovery between speed days but would like your take on it

We don’t do speed days back to back.

what are your thoughts on ATG, and kneesovertoes training? I noticed you said the lifts used in football weren’t very good. ATG and kneesovertoes training seems more useful in my opinion

We don’t do it.

Have a hard time understanding this I’ve been coaching for 40 years Speed training for 35 years I’m not sure coaches not sure I listened to your message, so I think you could actually do a good job with people, but your message is not good the way that you explain other people how bad coaches are I believe we’re here to support coaches and support people. Tell me what you think. 👀👀

I think we learn by example… good examples and BAD examples. Keep reading and watching with an open mind.

And just by the way, we’re in championships almost every year we won five CIF titles and we want to state titles in California Corona Del Mar high school and at at Trabuco Hills🏈 high school for 14 years even Coach JT Ayres I think you know track coach at Trabuco Hills high school my point is we should be here making coaches better by saying positive things that would help them more than the way that you’re saying it At the end of the day, it’s your choice make a difference to help others or make a difference to put down coaches, because I’m on both sides of the fence I coach football, and I make people faster 👀👀

I don’t say nice things about traditional coaches who break kids mentally and physically… top-down selfish autocrats who refuse to evolve and remain stuck in traditional BS.

How would go about implementing Feed The Cats philosophy into a sport like rugby?
@coachtonyholler
@coachtonyholler Год назад
Exact same as 🏈. Create athletes, not distance runners. Rest, recovery, sleep. Keep practice volumes at 50% of game volumes. Let games be hard.

@@coachtonyholler that’s freaking awesome coach, I see why! - how would you incorporate power and lifting in general? Let’s say I practice Tuesday, Thursday, game on Saturday - where would you recommend I fit in sprints and lifting?
