There are so many true believers who constantly follow Christ. The church deviated from the fundamental preaching of Christ and build up huge buildings, accumulated wealth and focused on ceremonies and denied love. Its clearly mentioned in the Bible that so many are called but few will have salvation.

The church should not keep quiet against ungodliness but should cleanse the church by removing those who take God's name in vain. God's judgment will be on the whole church for the sin of one if the church do not cleanse itself. Stop ignoring evil, stand up for Christ, be bold and strong in the Lord. Stop giving your money if the church leaders do not do a thing; it is high time the members should act.

The interview that this elderly gentleman (Joseph Varkey) had with Sunil Mathew begs the question: what was he trying to communicate? He is a senior person, well versed in the ways of the functioning of the church especially with 2-3 priests in his family. He tends to look inward, Pharisee like, not wanting to confront bitter truths. He represent the majority of the laity: confused, timid, spineless, not wanting to take a bold step, not wanting to be seen as upsetting the apple cart. The church thrives and survives because of such laity. A rambling interview, where Joseph Varkey indulges in gossip and not nothing else.

In any religion when ever we see bad activities people should come out criticze them publicly so that they may realize their mistakes and correct themselves so that they becoming a model to everybody like christ.
