This is how to wake up a starter and get it ready for baking bread. I use a 1:3:3 ratio for this (1x starter, 3x water and 3x flour. In this case I used about 70 g of starter, 200 g of water and flour. Rounding down speeds the time to double somewhat. This assumes you have weighed your starter jar and noted that weight, so you can subtract out the weight of the starter from the original weight of the jar.
