Brilliant Gerry, some fine animals in those sheds god bless them. Did you ever consider sinking a well in the yard and make use of that spring? It maybe sufficient to supply the sheds.
Good video as always Gerry 👍 always interested to hear what rations you feed just in relation to what used to be fed years ago🤔😁 animals all looking well 👌 telehandler one machine you cant do without 🙄 have you ever thought about having a loader tractor just for emergencies 🤔
Would you please do a video gerry of what kinda stock you buy in, age and why you do what you do. Will you buy in many suck calves next spring? I would like to sell you some good Angus and hex calves, I always finished all my own stock but next spring I'm selling all the male calves. I would like to see them going to a good farm like yours so if your interested I'd love to do business with you
@@gerry6420don't worry too much about it, breaks from your eye situation and other things probably don't help tbf but your health is more important than a few subscriptions at the end of the day 👍
High sugar ryegrass and red clover mix makes excellent silage for finishing cattle, energy and protein in one and more reliable yield and harvest than maize, and is a good break crop in arable ground
What about a wee live Q,A.gerry maybe get your father on board would like to hear how things have upgraded from his experience on the farm.just an idea 👍
Brilliant video gerry do you have weight counter in the loader when filling the diet feeder the ram on the loader must b a fair headache hopefully ye will get to the bottom of whats causing it
It raises overall protein by 5% , enough that you don’t need it it for beef cattle. For weanling you could add a bit for them. Last year I didn’t and we had some of the best weanlings leaving the shed we ever had. So probably won’t bother with it. The oat hulls has about 3% protein and it could be just enough to cover it. With the cost of protein feeds, I’d rather not buy it if I can get away with it
Dad reversed into it. Was looking for second hand door over last few months but can’t get one with no wheel that isn’t like a grand. So I’ll probably just run it through the insurance. New door from Toyota is about 1300. So 1000€ for second hand 15 year old door is too dear
Is that ur own trailer u had de potatoes in and did someone kick de back window of the jeep in and I hope you didn't get hit to badly when ur lip got cut open
It’s a Dji mavic 2 pro. Yes a good drone. But a mavic mini 2 or 3 woukd be good also. And lot cheaper. I’d recommend any of them mentioned. Easy to fly. Take ur time at start and u get use to it in no time at all
Smashing stock Gerry. Tell me how did those tyres go on the telehandler? They’ve been on it a while now. Need to put new tyres on a jcb 310 so looking at the same as you have
@@gerry6420 Thanks Gerry. Where do you buy your cattle. They are exceptional stock. Would a beet, barley, wheat and silage feed be sufficient to fatten cattle in your opinion.
