@@piotrasolo friends is absolute dogshit, no idea why that became so popular. Possibly one of the worst shows to ever come out, it's so bad they needed a constant laugh track just to keep it from feeling awkward. Awful show.

In this story arc he's basically an audience surrogate. He's a huge fanboy of the show in-universe, and his interactions with the boys shows what it might be like for a real-life squeeing fan to get to hang with them. Reality ensues.
