In the next CSRio webinar, we are pleased to welcome the distinguished Andrew Balmford, Professor of Conservation Science in the Department of Zoology at the University of Cambridge.
His presentation, titled "Feeding the world without costing the earth: and 5 uncomfortable observations for conservationists," reflects his research focus on reconciling biodiversity conservation with meeting human food needs and other land-demanding activities. He explores the costs and benefits of retaining intact ecosystems.
Andrew is also the author of the book 'Wild Hope,' which inspired a TV series of the same title. The series, aimed at engaging audiences with positive stories about protecting our planet from biodiversity loss and climate change, is available to view on the PBS RU-vid channel.
