Ours are colony girls and observation is so important. With colony or group living it could be the difference between life or death in a bunch of ways too. Others can be starving them out or over bullying rather than a typical small tiff etc. I like to have infant gas drops on hand if they stop eating it can cause gi stasis and it helps. Gassy veggie treats or just stress in general so much can lead there. I think most issues could be avoided if people paid more attention.
I agree, my rabbits are my favorite hobby! I hope your little baby feels better. You can also syringe feed it some Critical Care to help it get eating again. This has been a life saver for some rabbits and Guinea pigs of ours.
Could you please help me, unfortunately the mother died and I’ve been bottle feeding 3 babies from the 2nd day they were born and I’m 14 days in and last night they stopped wanting to eat, including this morning and I dont know what to do. I’m not sure how else to contact you
I am so sorry to here that. I wish I lived close to you and could take a look at your kits. If I had this situation I would first try to give some kits to another momma rabbit. Guessing that is not an option.
