I really hate how everybody treats Golden Boy. Dude was probably on of the biggest victims in the show, along with Sam. Yet everybody calls him insane, his best friend fucks his girlfriend, and even the brother he loved so much won’t listen to his pleas. It may have been a figment of Sams imagination, but it was very likely molded by Sams own memories of his brother. Which shows how heroic Golden Boy really was.
This is honestly one of the most tragic moments in the show. Sam's transition from the scarred but innocent-minded boy, madly in love and learning to be normal, to what he becomes here - a self-loathing, hollow-shell puppet, is truly heartbreaking to see.
I think her commands are based on the victim's interpretation. So 'feel good' could be interpreted as 'empty your mind' or 'don't feel guilt or conflict'. So Sam 'feels good'
Just because sam says feels good , doesn’t mean he actually feels good. It’s a figure of speech. He was clearly feeling guilty on top of all the anger from all the torment. So not feeling anything in comparison would feel good
@@bradentrice6615 he is constantly carrying around the weight and trauma of what has been done to him. like Sam says, "I feel so empty". if he feels nothing then it's like a hole. no rage, no sadness, no fear, nothing.
What breaks my heart is how after cate makes him feel nothing Luke just gives up completely on Sam and just relegates him as just another crazy psychopath
Reason why Superman, Spider-Man, and Invincible are unimaginably lethal when they completely let loose. Their morals and compassion holding them back is the only reason they haven't killed many more people than they already have. Their enemies and civilians are lucky superheroes like Superman "live in a world of cardboard".
Cate became the person she hated and she probably don't realize it. Trying to convince Andre to join her, telling him she loved him but sounded fake as fuck saying it. Then the way she kept trying to have Sam fully commit and telling him to giver her his hand. twisting the narrative saying what they are doing is for the greater good is 100% Shetty manipulation and the same tactics Shetty used against her. Cate is a villain because she is acting like the one person she hates the most. And she can't see it.
I just now put it together. The parallel between Gen V and Supernatural. Being that Kripke created both. Soulless Sam in Supernatural and now Soulless Sam in Gen V. Both were vicious.
I didn’t like how Sam just gave up that easily and decided he just wanted to kill everyone his way and Kate gladly helped him. I really hope Sam will be saved and hopefully persuaded by Marie Jordan and Emma what he’s doing is wrong so hopefully he’ll help them stop Kate, as well as Vaught, and hopefully Work with the boys as a way of stopping Homelander and the other rogue soups because Sam is also tragic character. In all this he suffered not only experimentation, but also being tortured by the people involved in the woods.
her character is wayyyy deeper than that though, she arguilably had a worse life then the whole cast, being disowned by her family after accidentally murdering her brother(theoretically) treated like a freak by her closest people, manipulated by shetty since a young teenager, ofc her view on humans is very negative. She is literally butcher but on the other side, however unlike him she didnt get her character development yet. Season 1 Butcher would be just like Shetty, wanting to use the virus to kill every supe.
@@zackz7563I don't want her to get a character development Her chance to redeem herself was in EP 7 but she sucks Golden Boy and Sam are just as messed up but see Golden Boy Strong mentality with a good heart
@@khotunkhan3950 yeah well he offed himself and kept forgetting everything while cate experienced all the trauma wide awake, sam is messed up aswell and aint much better due to his trauma Also cate is literally butcher, stop viewing this scene from an objective point, cate and all the supes have been oppressed and treated like garbage, tortured, merchandised all by humans, so ofc cate believes everyone is a villain. There’s no good or evil here, shetty, butcher and cate are all pawns in a bigger game/war
Honestly, this makes me scared for Sam’s future. I’m just worried that Cate might end up brainwashing him more and more, to the point where he ends up just becoming a completely brain dead husk… a husk that Vought, Homelander and even Cate would use for their malicious plans….
Something I found interesting is that cate makes him “feel nothing” but Sam still says it feels good, which means he still feels a little so I think he’ll eventually get his humanity back. Ps: I know anyone who comments on this comment will probably tear me down which I don’t mind cause I wanna see how I’m wrong.
@@BrianLe-yf6fe it doesnt make sense because sam and cate are the most psychologically damaged people in the group, thats why they compliment each other
@@moon-pw1bi Cate is also the one that's been fucking Sam over the most out of them. On some degree, Sam actually does share something with Emma, Marie, and Jordan.
What? Butcher is literally a shining ray of hope in the universe. He was the first one to do anything about supe injustice, and is also the most determined. He’s gonna save the world in the end, you’ll see.
