Trauma, abuse, neglect- David Claypool went through it all. He tried everything to mask his pain- using drugs and alcohol, chasing women, geographical relocations...nothing seemed to work. After getting hurt at work, he went to the doctors and was prescribed a massive amount of opiates that led him down a very dangerous path. After failed attempts at taking the easier, softer way, he finally gave treatment a real shot. He threw up his hands and said whatever they suggested of him, he was ready to give it his all. Then came the real work. The work that it takes to find a good, healthy, drug-free and balanced life. He now is in trauma therapy to deal with his past, he does yoga, 12-step meetings, everything to ensure that he doesn't go back to his old way of living.
