Mr. McCord, my mother has dementia and will be going in the direction of Alzheimer's at some point in the future. She lives under Hospice care, but she is home with her husband (my father) and myself. We keep her clean and keep her fed and as you know it is a day by day thing. I get her to smile each day and I hear hear talking to herself at night. That's okay because I do the same thing. You are correct when you say there is nothing more difficult. As far as I am concerned, the people at hospice are Superheroes. By the way, you both have meant as much to this fine game of golf as anybody. I wish you both the very best, J.
I worked at whisper rock and have caddied for both Gary and David. When I told David I had caddied for Gary, he asked me something along the lines of, ‘how many hat boxes did he make you carry’
The other guy I got to caddie for a bunch at Whisper Rock was Miller Barber. I saw the X Man shoot a 30 on the back 9 of the lower course when he was about 70.
An absolutely perfect shot, something you're completely unfamiliar with Mccord.. that saying has been stuck in my head since tiger woods pga tour 2004 😂
He never mentioned the story of Ken Venturi taking Gary to meet Ben Hogan at Shady Oaks. Hogan asked him how many wins he had and Gary said zero. Ben said why the hell are you still playing the tour?
He also said Augusta was piling the body bags behind the 13th green

@@jameshoran8 Ben was right...isn't it funny that being honest always gets you in hot water. Truth hurts as they say LPGA is doing much better now that it's being played by little hotties
Doesn’t matter now. The human race has gone loco over the flu(corona) and acting like a meteor is hurtling towards earth. So no need for commentators as we dont play anymore
IMHO a very poor decision by CBS golf. I don't think they were the problem. CBS golf doesn't produce golf very well. I'm surprised with all the tech out there they seem to produce a 3 dimensional game in 2 dimension. Very stale!!!
I enjoy Gary and david every day when I play my 1996 PGA Tiger Woods golf game. I have created a female golfer on the game who wins PGA grand slams and and Fedex cup quit often.
I was watching a rerun of the last day of the 1994 Masters as something to do during coronavirus lockdown. When I heard Gary Mccord make his bikini wax reference to the cutting of the greens at Augusta, I thought that would get him banned by the Masters. Such a bunch of stuck up old farts who are full of it. And I mean s**t. This is why I then went to the Feherty interviews Gary where Gary commented on that issue. The Masters do not know what they are missing. The two best commentators of golf ever.
Why I quit watching golf: What the networks think good commentators are is insane. Faldo, just give the sir a mirror and he's happy. Love III, boring and robotic as a player, even worse now. And the rest are even more boring, like watching paint dry, so I just play golf now.
Thank you. Sir foldo, nantz so bad, almost miss Miller. Doesn't CBS know any American announcers, like watching the euro tour. Sorta like NBC, 'least they have feherty, realize hes Irish but hes the best euro out there.
Spoiler alert: watch the last 90 seconds to find out why most golf telecasts now are dull and watch the previous 50 minutes to learn why it was a crime for CBS to fire McCord.
This episode originally shot in 2012 - he is still right; the firing from CBS has resulted in a homogenized mess of similar people. Chirkinian must be spinning in his grave.
Randy Otto The best thing to happen to CBS Golf this year was.....COVID-19!!!! The West Coast swing was terrible.....miss Gary and Peter and the Masters broadcast would’ve been a disaster.
If TV Golf wasn't totally dependent on advertisers these two would be on every tournament - loose cannons have TV execs sweating on live broadcasts sadly.
Gary. Mr McCord, please tell me none of those snakes were harmed, especially the Bull Snakes, Pituophis sayi. I had only one in my collection in Ontario, a lovely handsome male I called Buttercup. He was an impressive gentle beast, nearly as fat as my forearm with distinctive chocolate markings on his uniformly canary yellow skin. He was big and heavy and pretty and gentle. And wanderful to hang on kids' arns and teach them about their role in nature. P. sayi. Bull snakes. Very cool animals. And a wild one??? Hahaha! Scare the luving shit outaya! Harmless. But... as I said...impressive. Very impressive... 😆 I'm laughing bcos if you dont know the pituophis genus, then you dont know why they are "impressive." Thats ok 😆
Bring back Gary McCord to tv he made golf fun to hear on TV, Davis love boring Frank Noblia however you spell his name semi boring to technical, there no humor in golf back to boring analyst i guess Shame on you CBS
I love the fact that McCord said AUGUSTA HAS EVERY RIGHT TO SAY IM NOT ALLOWED THERE.....it’s a private place and they have the right to refuse anybody, people are so sensitive in this day and age that if someone gets service refused they should be canceled
