I got the same boat myself. Two things. 1. Flip mode works fine. You reverse full throttle then go very quickly full throttle forward. The shift in momentum flips the boat. 2. ALL POWER FULL SPEED BOATS WIPE OUT! This happens when you hit waves and the rear of the boat is bouncing up. The front wants to stay stable because that is not affected by waves. Then the attack angle of the boat becomes a downward angle. When the boat hits the water surface again, it hist with the pointy nose first, which will carve into the water. This happens a lot to real single hull power boats as well in rough seas.

i have a boat, can go full throttle, 25kmh, just skips over waves. but when something happens, digs the nose into the water and sinks. doesn't respond to the transmitter. just full throttle and after a few seconds, drastically launches itself out of water, jumps and lands back normally.

to flip back boat: 1. reverse motor full speed 2. full speed forwards repeat if necessary I have the brushed version. It works.

been a few years since i ran my boats...but you should be able to trim it so bow rides higher to limit nose hitting water and sub action...

may I ask what wltoys boat you are mentioning at the beginning??? and also suggest hull tape.

I also have a ft009. To flip it back, you have to put the throttle in reverse and than quick forward. Than it Always flips back by the torque. It works very well ! And it also dives for somtimes approx. 8 meters far. But always surfaces back without any drop of water inside. I did also run it in to sea! LOL!!

The reason it submarined is because it hit a small wave and jumped a little while in the air it clipped that back of the boat forcing the front down and do to the speed went under

the self righting will work if you use reverse, then punch forwards:D my friend has one, it works better when you do this... My proboat recoil with flex cable mod works real good too... My recoil only went submarine when the water was super super choppy:D

#1 to increase turning radius cut the lil stop bumps off the rudder I used a razor 🔪 knife I did both my Ft012 and Ft011 now they turn wicked sharp!!! #2 To stop the Ft011 bow from bouncing ( porpoising ) or acting like flipper...😂 bend the metal trim tab's down 1\8th inch at a time till it stops doing like da flipper 😀..and it's a lot easier to control at top speed!!!😎😎(adding any weight to these boats unless it's a stronger 🔋 battery "will slow the boats down"!!! ) Add a bigger prop and upgrade the battery and they run 50+ !!!!!! Hope this helps and have fun!!¡¡!!😎😎

Do you have and would you sell to Germany? ... a RC boat 2.4 GHz that can drive SLOWLY and forward as well a backwards I need such a slower boat as a carrier for a camera to be able to make close up pictures i.e from ducks.

45kph is kinda slow, my proboat recoil 17 brushless on 3s 40c lipo does 56kph.

I have the FT011 and it's way better than this one. Way bigger, faster and it still flips. Good tip: Take away the hatch lock, the water dispenser plug on the back and lower the two screws at the back and just use sticky tape to hold the top hatch down. It will fully seal your boat and never get water inside ever again. Cheers guys!
