A Costco reviewer said it dims significantly after 5 minutes. Have you noticed this? Also, the Husky is plug-in isn't it? I would expect any plug-in work light to outperform a rechargeable one, but they're inconvenient for quick jobs and useless if no power is available.
thanks for video. Would this be ideal for group camping? I find that we need light during common area meal times. It's also $10 off right now at costco making it just $40. Was planning to pick up 2. I feel like once the charge runs out how am i going to charge it for the next evening.
Even on the lowest setting the light would be pretty harsh sitting in the middle of a picnic table, you'd have to point it down, but on low you'd have 9 hours of battery so it'd probably be fine for a whole camping weekend. It would not be ideal though, since a battery powered lantern would likely be waterproof and a softer light ;)
I'd like to use this to play Cornhole at night. Would you say placing one of these in the middle of both boards would cast enough light to see both boards, or should I get 2 and place one near each board? Boards are 35' apart, so the single light solution would need to cast enough light to illuminate an object 17.5' away.
Yes I can say safely you could light up both cornholes with one of these in the middle. It wouldn't be daylight but enough to find the hole. You wouldn't be able to light it up for more than 4 hours though I'd bet.
@Jason P I just bought 2. On sale at my local Costco for $40 a piece. Gonna set them up with my boards one of these nights, but it's been cold and rainy. Will try to remember to post my thoughts afterwards
This is what I use it for lol. Set it in the middle of the boards just off to the side. I have one panel facing each board and then one on the area in the middle. I turn the brightness down and color down. It lasts for a few hours of cornhole. I usually have my party speaker near by which has enough battery power to charge the light while in use if needed. This light is totally worth the money. I’m def buying another
Appreciate that. I work there and have seen members buying those and ended up grabbing one myself. I looked for a review before opening, and saw yours. Yeah lighting is important for videos. The camera you use will also affect the brightness of videos. I just used the feit light for backlight when I was filming my last video and it worked great, on the highest setting.
Tripod itself is 42 inches tall, if you open all 3 lights to their highest that's 56 inches, tripod collapses down to 18 inches. Light when closed is 8.5 inches.
I just bought the last 4 from my Costco to use for camping. I opened one and unfortunately I can confirm that it does indeed do a “step dimming” even on the lowest setting after a full charge. Temperature at my place is 84°F. I looked on Amazon and there are clones of this light being offered by various other manufacturers and the reviews there also stated that they are experiencing the dimming issue after only a few minutes of operation. I will definitely be returning these and seeking out something better.👍🏼
The husky isn't made anymore and it is not rechargeable, but I do reach for it for every major project. It's nice knowing you won't run out of battery right when you need to see. The Feit is nice for extra light for tasks less than an hour.
@@striker1211 wao thanks buddy its cool I picked up the husky version of this and I have to admit its really good the only flaw I can say is the pole is not tall enough to go past 5 or 6 ft, and the stand isn't sturdy enough. but for $ 49.99 its hundred times better than $200-500 Bucks for a Milwaukee or Dewalt.
