Generals and Emanators different things. Emanators are specifically chosen by the Aeon in which the path they stride. Acheron fought with the Nihility, gaining control of Nihility, a blessing directly from the Nihility (IX) Herta gained intelligence and created a VR world, and more stuff, being chosen by Nous directly for being intelligent among most. Aha also specifically chose a Worm to be an emanator of elation for fun, and which the worm died. There’s more Emanators that haven’t been revealed, Feixiao likely is the Hunt Emanator.
Everyone has opinions on whether the Arbiter-Generals are Emanators or not, so let's try to explain the whole premise with existing lore~ I personally think that every Aeon makes Emanators in different ways, for example Xipe, The Harmony has 4 manifested spirits of THEIR Path which are the Harmonic Strings like Dominicus and Aelenev, they are then hosted by the chosen tuners called Chord-Masters during the Charmony Festival, while the chosen tuner does possess the power of an Emanator, the actual Emanators are the Harmonic Strings, the spirits they host. The situation is similar for the Spiritus of Arbiter-Generals which are the actual Emanators, the 7 manifested spirits of THEIR Path granted to these Generals by Lan, The Hunt except unlike The Harmony where the Harmonic Strings stay in Chord-Masters temporarily only for the duration of the Charmony Festival, the Spiritus of Lan stay within the Arbiter-Generals for the entire duration of their tenure, and upon their passing is inherited by their successor, thus allowing them to have the Power of an Emanator by hosting those Emanator Spiritus within themselves without most of them actually ever meeting Lan, The Hunt.
I agree with this To make an example with Yaoshi, shuhu was an emanator. From texts in game it’s said she granted longevity like Yaoshi and even revived a living planet. So for abundance, what possibly makes an emanator is that they are able to give that longevity.
Emanators are just a title that people gave to beings that received 2 things from an Aeon (at least from our knowledge). These 2 things are the Gaze of an Aeon in which the Aeon recognizes the being and their belief in their path. The other thing is that the Aeon gave them a sort of superpower or an ability. Jing Yuan is an emanator for Lan because in order for someone to be an arbiter general, they need to be gazed upon by the aeon Lan, show great feats for the Xianzhou, and then they will receive a spirit which is a manifestation of Lan's power. In this case, the Lightning lord. I agree with you though, an Aeon can just give anyone a power and their gaze on a whim so it really is up to the Aeon but this is the criteria of the title Emanator.
Here my theory: I feel like Tingyun never really died because she was never at the Luofu in the first place when we met her. If you recall back in 2.4 during Feixiao and Yukong conversation they talk about how Feixiao help find a crashed Whistling Flame ship and when they arrived they were beaten to the site by Ruan Mei. What if Ruan Mei rescued Tingyun and she is suffering from memory lost.

One key detail, i think an arbiter general “emanator” status is similar to how stonehearts are, back then they were perceived to be a group of emenators at first until its revealed the have borrowed powers Two main reasons why the generals aren’t emenators, 1. teng xiao had the lightning lord when he was general implying anyone ascending to general gets LL 2. Theres a character we’ve never seen but the generals keep mentioning, marshal hua (fu hua maybe??) and everytime they mention her they speak like she is in a higher position in the military
@falun3180 besides this quest they certainly suggested they are by what welt said - Alliance's marshal and six generals are in no way inferior to Lord Ravagers, Now can read into that many ways but like every aeon they pick or have Emanators in different ways I think for Lan they are whatever Lan considers an emanator
Another theory could be that they aren’t emenators, rather the weapons that Lan gifts them contain emanator powers, hence why previous generals could borrow the power of LL either through the weapon given or some other form. Also we see the ax drop after Lan appeared, almost as if he’s given Feixiao the power through that ax
Feixiao goes in the fight empty handed, as she gave her regular sword rifle to Yaoqing, only when she called out to Lan she got her new weapon, aka the battle axe. Perhaps she became an actual emanator, or she just got buffed with the “emanator weapon” that Lan gifts to all his arbiter generals
@Pompeii94 Your theory makes sense however it was stated that Yinxing (blade) made jing yuan's spear which means his weapon wasn't given to him by Lan. However I believe what you said may hold true but instead of actual weapons, it's the spirits that are given to each general by Lan (Lightning Lord and Flying Aureus). Since in the description for the item from the feixiao boss, it says the flying aureus is the fastest spritus of the 7 manifestations of Lan's power (didn't put it in quotes since idk if that's the exact word for word but that's what was said). I'm definitely curious to see what the other spiritus are like

Feixiao to everyone else: you merely adopted the Hunt. I was born in it, molded by it. Rarely has a character embodied its path as much as Feixiao does, it's like she is a mini-aeon (fitting for an emanator I'd say). Aeons fully represent their path, are singleminded about it and cannot deviate from it: Feixiao feels the same.
I think the whole unique ult thing is for eminators. I already thought that but then when lan looked at her I'm assuming that's the moment she became one.
This might be unpopular but I actually agree with the elder from this quest who thinks if the abundance dies, the hunt will take over. The further we get in the xianzhou story, the more I personally hate Lan (which doesn't really matter for this theory but I just wanted to put my bias on the table). HooH seems to have made sure every existing aeon has counterparts to it and I don't see the hunt as any different from destruction when discussing them at their core. Lan is supposed to be "justice" oriented but if they manage to kill the abundance then that leaves them open to be absorbed by Nanook if there's nothing for them to fight? Unless the destruction of abundance leads to the ressurection of the propagation which is SO not worth it based on the history we've been presented. Additional point, as you pointed out, Luocha is a Void Archives expy (maybe). I don't trust his intentions for that reason. I haven't played HI3 but I know enough about hoyo games to know the parallels are usually on purpose lol.
You are right. Lan will have no purpose so he might fade away with yoashi the abundance may be ? It is mention in the story that yoashi came first and after her giving blessings to so many species and making abominations of abundance , lan rise to aoenhood to stop her and her abomination.
I think this is the seccond best quest, just behind the 2.2 quest And when Lan appeared i didn't process that he gave his glance to Feixiao I thougth that all Generals of the Xianzou were already emanators of Lan, but I think rn only Feixiao and Jing Yuan are (Jing Yuan confirmed by Black Swan in the 2.2 trailblaze mision)

Void was already sentient and had his own personality prior to his encounter with Otto, it's just that his long time with Otto ended up with him rubbing off some aspects of Otto's personality. In HI3, Otto had a set of backup bodies for him to use and Void simply took over one on them since Otto no longer had a use for them. It is why we see Void wearing a mask at times to differential himself with Otto. That's also the same body that got used by Void to end up in HSR. I forgot to mention also that the reason why Luocha's appearance is extremely shocking, especially to Welt, is that he and any other counterparts that he should have been present within the Imaginary Tree, which is basically the Tree of Life of the Mihoyoverse, shouldn't exist because of what he did, refer to the animated short "Thus Spoke Apocalypse".

I'm wondering if its a stoneheart situation and Marshal Hua is the only emanator but shares her power with the generals (hence we don't know if lightening lord was inherited or not)

This is why TB is never considered an emanator of either Xipe, Qlipoth or Nanook. On the other hand, while the generals have never been stated to be emanators, they all have been directly blessed by the Hunt, and they all draw power from Lan, which is exemplified by the spiritus that all generals possess (ex. Lightning Lord, Flying Aureus)

I think itd be cool if Ruan mei consumes the Aeon of Abundance and becomes a Aeon herself like Harmony and Order considering Abundance and Life also has its similarities
When an aion dies, its power is transferred to another aion. So the way is similar to the departed aion. For example, there are Ena and Xipe, or Tazzyronth and Yaoshi. xipe absorbed ena and the death of tazzyronth yaoshi took back much of the power of the insect. ruan mei,luocha and jingliu want to absorb the power of yaoshi with the divine body of tazzeyronth and get rid of the abundances but for that it is necessary already to succeed killed a yaoshi to put the coup de grace with the divine body. I don’t know if it will resurrect tazzyronth or not but if it is the case I think it will be even worse.

I have seen theories that the weapons that generals carry contain the power of an emanator and I have seen that Generals can be equal to the Ten Stone Hearts. I'm really confused about the emanators but I want to remind you of the Protagonist of preservation, he had Qliford's look and got the spear, but in Penacony Aventurine calls the spear a "flawed stone"
9:42 this is not what he is saying. Tauron is saying that even if all the denizens of abundance die the xianzhou natives will still become the next ones due to the mara struck sickness. Even if yaoshi dies their curse will still be afflicted on the xianzhou due to the path not being destroyed as seen by Ena and Order

It is something that Eilo had plan on head in advance for the aeon war with his grand plan of not only to defeat but other aeon like Yaoshi,Oroboros for good that his ultimate goal that and probably the chance to reunite with his sister he hadn't seen for an long time,considering Eilo like got his name from Heilos the geek god of the sun

The 2.5 story is fire. I love how the story goes down. Twist and turns and so many things explained. I am now excited to see the new tingyun and Feixiao is such a badass! P.S. i now understand why Jing Yuan was made erudition. The dude is so smart he is 10 steps ahead.
Based on what i understood in terms of the lore on the current arc The Arbiter Generals function similarly to The Ten Stonehearts somehow, considering Jing Yuan and Fei Xiao didnt confirm from their words being a EMENATOR but rather the onen whos in charge of all affairs that involved in their respective ships and in terms of thier powers and abilities i suspect it had something to do with the Marshal (Hua) this includes the spirits that presumably all Arbiter Genarals possess as for the weapons they possess it mostly crafted by smiths. But somehow Fei Xiao received a gift from Lan themselves and plus she was gazed in the events transpired in that scene but this doesnt shes an emanator her situation was somewhat similar to the Trailblazer when he received a gaze from 3 emanators first was NANOOK gave some energy to kill the doomsday beast nearly letting the stellaron explode, second was QLIPOTH gave him the flaming lance to aid them in the batle against Cocolia and lastly was XIPE i dont what was the gift was but i somehow suspect it had something to do with the hat that mikhael had or was it that the express crew and a stellaron hunter considering having different ulterior motives they still banded together in order to stop Sunday and the Order's cult plan that it caught the eyes of XIPE themselves. Thats what i can share so far and also to those people who didnt like the story progression in Xianzhou arc lets be patient i think the story writers are cooking something good so lets just be patient and wait and see what comes next
Btw when I read ruan meis story I concluded she definitely wants to become an aeon not an emanator, so u should check that, after all herta is an emanator and well get her five star version for it, but since ee already have ruan mei, its unlikely they remake her as an emenator meaning shed be aeon since shed be too powerful to be made playable
Tingyun is interesting. Tbh, I dont really think that we ever met the actual Tingyun. I’d like to think that the actual Tingyun is a 5 star all along and the 4 star Tingyun we met was an avatar of Phantylia since she arrived in Luofu. Because it will be an easy route, story-wise. While Phantylia stole her identity, Ruan Mei, or whoever intercepted the real Tingyun was healing her or whatever. Unless they would choose to explain why was the ‘broken neck’ Tingyun would suddenly just comes back to life lol.
Something that seems odd to me, and this might be on purpose, is that the borisin seems to be pathstriders of the hunt and not the abundance. I wonder if we will meet an abundance faction who are actually interested in healing the universe instead of consuming it.
Feixiao is not an emanator by any means.She gets her powers from the Marshal who IS An Emanator.If you think Aeons casting glance means they glance at emanators then you haven’t played the game.MC gets glanced at by countless Aeons and yet they are just path striders.The generals are like the stonehearts.They gain the power from the same emanator,this is simple to understand.And statement means nothing.I can say I’ll go kill the president but I can’t cause I’m not capable.And Feixiao isn’t even at Aventurine’s level (Borrow Emanator powers) or Acheron (Actual Emanator).She is in no way an Emanator at all.She just borrows the Marshals power.Idk why i even comment on a channel that got hi3 lore wrong and give misinformation and bias
We were told the spirits are DIRECT gifts from Lan, were told by Welt that they are equal to the Lord Ravagers who are confirmed Emanators, Lightning Lord appeared in Pompom's "All about Emanators" pamphlet (even though it didn't directly mention Lan's emanators), Jing Yuan said only _"another"_ Emanator could sneak a stelleron about the Luofu without him noticing, and Black Swan flat out called Jing Yuan an Emanator in Sunday's dream. Don't know if something was mentioned in this update that changed what was previously indicated cause I haven't finished it yet, but everything previously hinted points towards the generals at the very least having Emanator level power. So it's either they're Emanators themselves, as path striders cannot be as strong as Emanators no matter how powerful they are or Lan uses a system similar to Xipe's Harmonic Strings, and it's the spirits who are the Emanators and then empower the generals to that level, similar to how the Harmonic Strings empower a specific Chordmaster. Regardless, them not even being on the level of the stoneheart's is a terrible joke, because the first thing Welt told us when we boarded the Luofu is that they're equal to Lord Ravagers. There's no way people equal to real Emanators are weaker than people who only hold a fragment of an Emanators Authority.
nobody said MArshal IS Emanator, if you read Feixiao mats desc, she hold the fastest among 7 Manifestation of REIGNBOW. there are 7 including Feixiaos Flyhing Aureus and Lightning Lord, also Marshall should have one, MArshal is the part of the 7 arbiters its 6 Generals and 1 Marshall
@lesterism Fair. But she might as well be close to an emanator level at this point. She has Flying Aurelius, which we assume is her version of a Cornerstone, and then we can assume she has the Crimson moon powering her now, which gives her a power up along the lines of Blade so not only is she highly experienced, Blessed by Lan and now probably has the same Regenerative abilities as Hoolay she'll be even more powerful than she's ever been

Question is how about that Jingliu vs Feixiao. Now ik Jing yuan isn't necessarily an emanator but using the borrowed power of one he barely defeated Jingliu. Also Jingliu was the only one who could incapacitate Hoolay or hooley... whatever back in his prime. He seemed like he was possibly weaker here however still strong to fight back well. Feixiao may have "killed" him (I put quotes because you never really know) but he was already weakened by the poison and the fights before hand as well as the sword technique from Yanqing. Idk it would be pretty close but as ppl say if Feixiao can kill Blade which is just downright impossible then she could beat Jingliu, if she couldn't manage to kill Blade then it will be a very close call between Jingliu and Fei. Not trying to be biased I like both characters, although I like Jingliu more but no I'm trying to be realistic here. Anyways sorry for this being long and for not going into great detail or sounding like I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm basically going off what I see/know/heard of the two characters. Edit: sorry for making this much longer than it should be but please don't bring up the fact that an aeon's gaze makes the character an emanator. They don't according to most posts I've seen as if they did Jingliu would still be one. Now we don't fully know her character yet which hopefully we get more lore eventually but just wanted to add that
Just a little correction. Jing Yuan is an Emanator, Black Swan confirms that he is one during Penacony quest. That's how he was able to beat Jingliu all those years ago.

Love the content here but adding a little more effort in pronouncing names will go a long way. I just heard Jiaoqiu, Yukong, and the Vidyadhara’s names all get botched in the first 5 mins.

Emanators are beings blessed by an aeon and get their power directly from that path(aeon). Aeons are conceptual beings that can only act based on their Primum mobile, for example Aha being the concept of Elation, the chaos god only creates madness where ever he goes, something that gives THEM a laugh, they'll do. Being an emanator, means that what you believe in aligns closest with the ideal path of said aeon. Basically they are pathstriders, but more powerful and very connected to that said aeon, who they received their powers from.

In case you dont know, Genshin is heavily inspired based on gnosticism and Archons are fake gods appointed by Demiurge to manage the material world in his stead... In genshin terms, Archons are administrators appointed by Celestia to manage the regions of teyvat.. You can read gnosticism to fully understand genshin lore and even predict where its gonna headed.. As for Aeons, they are cosmic beings that are born or ascends to godhood when a certain concept or ideal has been met.. They are basically a way of life, who draws power from every being in the cosmos' collective unconscious.. They are definitely tangible since Herta also met an Aeon multiple times in her life and Tayzzyroth the imperator insectorum is an actual giant insect.. Emanators are beings blessed by Aeons consciously like Herta or unconsciouly like Acheron.. They draw their power from their respective Aeons and they are way stronger than your any pathstrider in their path...

Playable Characters Stone Hearts Aventurine, Topaz and Jade. (Ps other stone hearts characters are already revealed I just felt too lazy to write them.) Acheron- Self Annihilator(Nihility Emanator) The Bug that Ruan Mei tried to create (Propagation Emanator) Now this is not its Emanator full power and Form I think, this Bug was created by Ruan Mei from its Emanator that died. Marshal Hua (Likely Hunt Emanator) All Memokeeper including Black Swan I think (Remberance Emanator) The Emanator part that made YingXing or Blade Immortal (Abundance Emanator) Edit: we also have the Elation Emanator that Boothill got him to get drunk. I felt like adding this Emanator 😅.
I personally think all of the Arbiter Generals are Emanators of some kind whether it be actual ones or Psuedo-emanators like the Ten Stonehearts, the High elders, Blade or others like that.
I think she is Lans version of an emanator what else could they do to show us that fact? I think Lans emanators or people he singles out for the hunt which by definition what emanators do but I will expand on this more soon but just curious why u think not?

Xianzhou continuance in 3.X perhaps, if not then 4.X, if not again then 5.X and so on. Xianzhou story would never end until we meet the Marshal herself.
