Hi, Thanks for the review and video! Quick question: Are you using the standard felder rails or proprietary rails (Aigner rails) to mount the Aigner extendion table? if using the felder one, does the Aigner extension mounts flush to the band saw table? Any adjuntments needed to be done? thanks.
Hi, great video and very nice bandsaw. I have a question. Is it really useful attaching the cast iron extension as outfeed table ? In other words, it is clear that it will be very nice to attach it as infeed table, but the outfeed must support the board and the cut piece, therefore, I guess it is not wide enough to be effective as outfeed table. I want to buy that bandsaw, those iron cast extension seems very nice but not realy conving due to their width. What's your experience? Thanks!
Jaime Clifton I had a very small shop when I uploaded this and having this bandsaw and a festool rail system TS75 and MFT/3 made my little shop 100% more productive. My old Table saw took up a lot of space but could re saw large slabs and wasn’t easy to straighten live edge boards but the rail did that and bandsaw did the rest :)
Hi great videos and really interested in the Felder FB 510 what power option or single or three phase what horsepower would the machineand if you don't mind what kind of price did you pay for machine in the UK Frank in Ireland
Manor Wood Thanks forgetting back to me. I am considering purchasing, did the mitre fence come as standard with your machine. and regarding what few accessories you can get for a bandsaw is there anything you have purchased that you feel is essential or anything you feel like you will get in the future. Would the price you mentioned be including or excluding VAT, know no matter what it's a lot of money, it's a big decision for me as I presume it was for you
The Mitre Fence isn't very good imo it cost around £75 it does work but the is no Zero stop of stops at 45 etc.. I would buy a 3rd party one Axminster sell really nice ones around £85 I would recommend Ceramic guides it a big cost around £280 but then make the machine much more usable and quicker to set up when changing blades. best way to get a price is contact Felder they will quote you on any offers and all options I bought my one from there show room so got a deal and didn't have to wait for the factory to make it for me. its great tool 100%
Manor Wood Thanks for the advice. I definitely see what you mean about the mitre fence Axminister might be the way to go. Without a doubt I would be going with ceramic guides my problem is there is only showroom in the ireland and they have none in stock might be up to get a close look at one in the next couple of weeks. Keep up the great work with the videos
