Musicalmente, "Cobblestones" è un anthem che vuole essere il biglietto da visita della band.
Una cavalcata continua e senza sosta, intervallata soltanto da break-down ipermoderni mentre il coro - - che si ripete incessantemente - ci strilla in faccia ‘Rome oh Rome’. Liricamente, la canzone descrive Roma e la sua natura duale. Da un lato, la cartolina e il continuo pellegrinaggio di gente da tutto il mondo, e dall'altro, l'autentica, antagonista, popolare città che osserva tutto ciò che accade intorno a sé con scetticismo e disincanto.
