It was obvious Maxie was in great pain. Seeing Felicia there, it enabled her to get her anger out, even though it was her mother she let loose. Surely Felicia regretted that she wasn't there where it mattered most. Yes, this was Kristen Storms best acting performance ever.
@@carrieolson6871 I wasn't watching back then.....but from most recent recollection (what I read from others)..she was out there Working...rescuing Good people..
@@seavista4810 when her daughter Maxie needed her the most was at the time Georgie her sister was strangled by a serial killer, Felicia wasn't there to give Maxie comfort. So that is why Maxie lashedout at Felicia at Georgie's funeral.
What I love about this scene with Maxie (Kristen Storm) the most is the acting in this moment, it was really good. I remember watching it and how it actually made me tear up and feel it like it was actually real. Kristen pulled this scene off at least to me. This whole scene, to me she delivered.
OMG! I always come back to this. One of the most epic scenes in daytime history. The raw emotion, the hurt, pain, abandonment and loss. It just all spilled out,
Kristin Storms was robbed for the Emmy this year. The monologue during the eulogy scene alone was award worthy. Maxie read Felicia for filth (& rightfully so!) 😒
@@teamtony4623 Um, every word that Maxie said was true! I don’t agree with the timing but it absolutely needed to be said. As far as why at the funeral-newsflash, it’s a soap opera! Have a wonderful day!
Dragon_ Feenix Maxie has no idea how much Felicia loved Georgie and had no right whatsoever to speak to her mother in that disgusting fashion. Sadly it was mafia street violence that claimed the life of Georgie Jones no amount of parenting on the part of Felicia and Frisco Jones would change Georgie’s outcome.
@@jabarithomas7290 ITA, I was horrified watching this. Felicia dedicated her life to raising her children, and when their real father left, Felicia married and remarried the man who would be a great father to them. The LAST character that deserved this was Felicia.
Oh my God watching this video just put the biggest tears in my eyes enjoy this scene with maxi and now she has to go through it again with her husband how sad this is
The thing is - there are deadbeat Moms in the world but usually it's due to addictions and/or baggage. Felicia's being absent was poorly written but - it certainly gave KS a great monologue and she did it really well.
Maxie said what many of us were thinking at the time. Felicia deserved it, it's too bad Frisco wasn't there to get his dose too. I hate how the writers made F&F deadbeat parents.
@@teamtony4623 they were teenagers not adults when she dumped them. The age when girls need their mom as they transition from girlhood to womanhood she stopped all contact once she ran off to help the girl's dead beat father
Mac was one hell of a father figure and for children that weren't even his! Felicia shouldn't have been in and out like she ended up being later and Frisco... he was essentially just a sperm donor. Mac, however, was there, raising and loving Georgie, Maxie, AND Robin ❤
The only part of this I'd change is having Frisco seated there for that blast as well. It annoys me that Felicia always got Maxie's rage and Frisco got her desperate for parental love side he abandoned her too maybe she knows Felicia will return for more but Frisco never showed up at all.
You can't vent to someone who s not there not even in a letter becausm where they are plus Maxie knew her father was not to be counted on evere you have no clue
Looking back at old episodes I understand now why Bobbie felt so protective over Georgie and loved her like a daughter and loved maxi like one also she lost her daughter bj in such a tragic way. But maxi got bjs heart which tied Bobbie to the girls lives forever really so she mourns not only the lost of bj but now Georgie.
Mac seemed to be a convenient person to drop your kids off to be raised. Robert and Anna and Frisco and Felica all had better things to do than take care of their kids.
Of course, it being General Hospital, the woman is blamed. Frisco, their biological father left way before Felicia, but Maxie doesn't mention that. Ridiculous. However, at least Maxie had an edge. She wasn't the fat and jolly stereotype she became years later.
I loved both Emily and Georgie. That was the only time GH had two females that were actually good and upbeat, and the actresses that portrayed them were fantastic. No such thing now. You still have excellent actors on the show, but back then there was a lot more romance.
Wow compared to Georgie birth alot of the vets are gone, 😓. No Tony, Dr Hardy, Audrey, Dr Quartermaine. But where the hell is her father??? He didn't even show for their births and kidnappings! Now Georgie's funeral a no show! Wow just wow Frisco. No Luke he was there when Georgie was born and so was Monica? Georgie's death was completely unnecessary!
Felicia deserved the dressing down, for sure. But, I feel like the producers of GH deserve one even more. They refuse to do recasts on some characters over the years allowing actors whims and egos dictate storyline. Anna, Robert, Laura, Frisco all made out to be deadbeat parents rather than do a recast.
Woah! I haven't watched GH in YEARS but always thought Felicia was a great mom. This is a great scene! LOL! But seriously, it is about time the 'children' of these great adventurers called our heroes (let's see, some of these heroes are Anna, Robert, Luke, Laura, the late Bill Eckert...and probably TONS others) get to be chastised by their children for NOT being around for them when they were growing up, instead letting them be raised by others. By the way, Mac rocks. And i often wondered if GH would do a storyline about a grown up Robin who was left with SO many 'uncles', that at least one of them may have done something to her, like molest her. This episode is a great reality check for these so-called 'heroes'. Yes, these 'heroes' are so addicted to danger (SOOOO DUMB!!), and sooo concerned with saving the world, but not so much worried about raising their own children. Good stuff!
And a year later, let me expound on my post. I wonder what Maxie thinks of her FATHER, Frisco? From childhood he wasn't there for her. He was off, 'saving the world'.
Yeah, I guess she was a good mother, other than marrying and fathering children by her rapist. But this is not what this post is about so I digress. Although Laura did raise Lucky on the run.
Georgie's service shouldn't be remembered like this no matter how much pain she's in. It made everyone very uncomfortable. Mac didn't need this going on. He loved Georgie. It's too bad she didn't talk about what kind of person Georgie was.
I was just thinking about how Mac raised Robin, Maxie and Georgie and how he got no credit for it. Kristen Storms gave the read of all reads. I don't know if she received an Emmy nomination that year but she deserved. PS: her father wasn't there either. GH glossed over absentee parenting in the 90s-2000s.
Wow maxie really destroyed felicia . If looks could kill felicia would be 6 ft under. Poor kristina Wagner. The show got rid of her & they bring her character back to be a dead beat mom & get attacked by her daughter. Felicia adored maxie. Frisco was probably too ashamed to show up at all . At least Felicia was there into maxie teens. I don't get why they just didnt make mac georgies dad. Wasnt there a wtd thing ? Frisco was written so weird. When he met baby georgie he acted like he was complimenting someone else's child. If sonny carly & jason can be on the show for like 25 years ( jason was born on the show so I mean jason Morgan not quartermaine. ) why not recast anna Robert Frisco & felicia instead of making them dead beats & having mac raise everyone else's daughters. I mean sonny is close to 60 in rl carly & Jason 50 . It's fine to have older characters be vital, but when other characters were their age they were pushed to recurring or off the show. When this show ends the legacy sadly will only be the mob & the holy trinity wiping away so much history & characters.
Theirs a few shreddings by people that were memorable maxie to felicia here alexis at her sisters funeral to Jason & sonny, alexis to carly when jax was missing in 2011 robin and sarah Browns carly in 1999 when robin left for years .
and recently when jordan cussed the dog phuk out of molly when tj was missing. it came from an unexpected place because the actress really bores me a jordon ...lol
Maxie is so on point the only part of this that annoyed me was Robin telling her to stop yes you are family but Maxie's feelings about being abandoned are between her and Felicia if you chose to excuse years of being left behind by putting on a happy face that's between you Anna and Robert.
@@kimson305 death doesn't change what's true and as Maxie said being abandoned was a huge part of Georgies life that's what a funeral is the summation of someone's life
“Nothing in Msc’s life prepared him for parenthood…” huh? What prepared him for fatherhood was sitting right next to him: Robin. He raised her. Gosh knows her parents didn’t. They were either presumed dead or off playing spy or both.
Reality just imitated art as their youngest just passed away. Now we know how F&F would of felt at the loss of their daughter which was never really seen as J&K grieve over the loss of their son---they were a close knit family, but because because J&K were not on the show they were written as deadbeat parents---just wish fans would let them grieve in peace until they're ready to talk about their loss. Saw a picture taken by a Fox reporter of JW coming out a convenience store with water and a container, didn't look in a good place---I know they're celebrities but right now everything is too raw and they need to heal and everyone heals at their own pace
Can someone please explain to me why the hell General Hospital killed of Georgie when the had the potential for the perfect good girl/bad boy storyline with her and Johnny. Hell even her and Logan had made chemistry. She could have totally redeemed him. Instead we had every young hot guy pinning over Lulu. Like I said before General Hospital hasn't been watchable since the October 2007. After the Black and White ball it turned into a joke.
LOL, love it. Felicia had it coming! This is the Maxie I miss on GH. They have her so silly and goofy now running around with Spinelli. They've ruined her character. She was poised to be the next big diva.
I've been watching GH for 45years now and I remember everything love Frisco and Felicia love story Frisco went off to work for the WSB but he he kept incontact with Felicia he came home when he could Maxie is just a spoiled rotten girl she forgot she has BJ heart thanks to her uncle Tony Jones I get this is a Soap Opera Bubble but really Maxie waited until this to come at Felicia her mother Maxie is a bimbo that bleech done fried her brain! That's why I never liked Maxie with Nathan she annoyed him with her ignorance 🙄 it's good to spoil your kids but not in a rotten way and that's what happened with Maxie
This is the worst scene of the ,the actor gets killed by off too early v,then she is showed up as a ghost later when maxi gets sick.Thats when Thier rating went down
This was typical Guza rewrite garbage. Felicia never being there for her kids - BS! She was even there when Maxie got her first job back in 2002. This hack tried his best to destroy the real legacy of the show and morph it into the mob hour; so glad he’s gone!
You are right. Felicia raised her kids up until late teen years. She stayed in communication with Georgie. Maxie wants to talk about abandonment! She should talk with Sarah and Elizabeth Webber about abandonment. They could enlightened her on a thing or two. Felicia was there for her kids. Talk about an uncalled for character assassination just for drama. If others have watched GH since the 80's and to date they would know Felicia did not abandon her daughters. Frisco did, but not Felicia.
Her comments about Felisha were completely uncalled for. She should have considered how Georgie would have thought about what she had to say.A funeral is a place to honor the deceased, not a place to air your own hurt and anger. Those kinds of outbursts bring sadness and heartbreak to everyone and accomplishes nothing. Save it for a private moment.
Maxie was right. Felicia really had no business being at the funeral when she wasn't around while her daughter while was alive, why should she be allowed to be there in her daughter's death?
