17:16 (Did Tempest actually love any of his wives?) My current theory on this is that Tempest did genuinely love Cinnamon, but after her attention starts to divert more towards Nighthawk, he starts falling out of it and kills her because he's either mad that she doesn't give him her undivided attention or he doesn't want to deal with her anymore. The second time with Morningdove, I think he might have been trying to 'fill the void' or rekindle the original passion he had with Cinnamon, but it doesn't work and especially since she had kids, he decided to just move on to someone else. He probably didn't plan on killing Morningdove at all, as cheating is simply easier and not as messy than murder, but after the argument Tempest goes 'fuck it'. And with Seabreeze, he probably *likes* her, but doesn't love her. More than a friend obviously and he enjoys spending time with her but there really is no passion there and he only stuck around with her so long because she's the best he could get. Tbh if Foxfire hadn't killed I'm he probably would've cheated again. That's just speculation based on the little we know tho, so im very excited to see more to the story!
I'll be honest, I was one of your biggest critics since the 'incident'. I'm glad that you've gotten help, and that you're doing your own creativity. You're doing so much better and I'm proud of you.
i think it'd be an interesting idea if draikitties fought with their horns, whether that's playfully or seriously i think it'd be interesting! (i have a very strong mental image of the kits pretending to be goats and playing..) the predator species would also be very cool to see i honestly really like tempest as a character, he's really corrupt and i like it! he reminds me of kings from the medieval age a lot. of course i do not like him as a person, what he did was wrong but man he's a fun character! i really love black and white villains
I love a good complex villain with backstory and motivations, but sometimes it's just nice to have a character who's a jerk for no reason to kick around lol. Also I LOVE that. Like little goats bopping their noggins together
Honestly, Tempest really gives me Tigerstar vibes. I know you aren’t into the Warriors fandom anymore, but the way he kills everyone to hide the evidence and doesn’t feel any guilt _from_ killing everyone just gives me Tigerstar vibes. He murders everyone and feels no need to hide the evidence because he knows nobody will know. Nighthawk and Foxfire are definitely my favorite characters, mainly because of the designs and their lore. Anyway, the main idea of this small paragraph is that I loved Felicide so much and that type of storytelling always hooks me. Felicide was such a fun story to follow and come up with theories! I'm so glad!!! I don't think there's any greater sort of accomplishment you can do as an artist is inspire others to make art. To make something good enough it motivates more art to exist- whats more humbling than that!!!
Oooh I didn’t know that Nighthawk and Foxfire were related! Winged cats with horns are always my favorite, I always made winged DOGS with horns but winged CATS- I might have to make one. Honestly, their tails relating to their age is a very clever idea
If the Q and A are open just wishing to ask If there's any rival colonies or any kind of outsiders wanting to claim the colonies for their own? I really love this story explained and can't wait for more ^^ Quite curious when you mention predators maybe they could be living in the outskirts of the colony. Not so sure to name them but...thinking of them as like...coyotes that has wings but they have rough fur, sharp teeth and claws, illuminating yellow eyes that pierced through the dark. Rarely strike in broad daylight but mostly nocturnal as they hunt at night for food or any trespassers entering their territory. Something like that as for their fur color...probably like normal coyotes but with dark tone of fur colors making them look intimidating by appearance under the full moon.
If another Q and A pops up I want to ask/say I thought for the longest time that Nighthawk and Morningdove were siblings because their names are opposite but similar(same goes with their pelt colors with one of them having black/grey asa base and the other having white as a base) I thought Nighthawk took Foxfire in because he was the uncle and he was sad to see his sister dead. That was just my theory Great series!!

If you could, would you make animation memes like how you did for this main story and maybe make a story on how tempest really became evil? If you were to make a deeper backstory for Tempest anyway, I just think that would be pretty cool! Also for the predator, i think you should make it a mix of canine and possibly something that is a birds predator? Like what do all birds have a weakness too? I can't get my mind on it but I guess it's just a small idea!! Love this video explaining the story, it's so interesting!
I loved Felicide and the way you told the story!! I'd love to see more about this series sometime I have a couple (aka a trillion) ideas for the predator species: You mentioned something venomous, so depending on how it's venomous (like does it inject venom through its fangs, a spine, etc.) there's a lot of things you could do. If it injects venom through fangs, what about saber teeth? (Like a saber tooth tiger) I always like the aesthetic of those for some reason. Or it could be a stinger like a scorpion, or a spine of some sort! I do like the idea of it being more canine but maybe with some more cat-like features too! (Like a more slender build with retractable claws, but with a canine face if that makes sense.) Another thing I like is floating rings around the tail or legs, and bioluminescence would be cool too! (Bioluminescent floating rings even) To contrast the flight of the draikitties, but still have them be relatively able to hunt or pursue them in the air, what if they could glide for long distances (not fully fly) and were good swimmers? As for how they glide, small wings or the sort of thing flying squirrels have would work. Maybe they could even be an arboreal species with long prehensile tails to cling to tree branches! Maybe having them be nocturnal would be cool, or they could even be omnivores who mainly hunt for food but occasionally eat small berries and fruits. Those are just my ideas--I don't have any name ideas as I would be better at making the species first and then coming up with a name idea based on its appearance and how I imagine they would act. Edit: if the QnA is open, I have a couple questions (it's really just two questions in one) Do draikitties believe in a sort of afterlife? I ask because I was rewatching the Pumpkin's Revenge meme and it shows the spirits of Tempest's old mates that he killed (edit: and Nighthawk is there too, for some reason I didn't realize it was Nighthawk) and I was wondering if they had a belief in spirits and such. Furthermore, if they do, do they believe in some sort of god/do they have a sort of religion? Edit 2: another question I thought of while designing my own draikitty character! Do they follow normal cat genetics? Like coat pattern and eye color genetics. I wanted to make a colorpoint character but I wasn’t sure I wanted them to have blue eyes. Would that be required like real cat genetics or could I give this character amber eyes or something? Edit 3: yet another question. Do draikitties ever have accessories? Like collars or necklaces, etc.
Seeing as predators are venoms and if you want to draw pretty colours n stuff, look into stuff like a Quetzalcoatl, big floofy rainbow snakes! They could use their wings like front legs (like a wyvern! ), helping them latch onto rocky cliffs, sticking their long necks into caves, looking for pray. >:3 i am loving these short mini eps and memes though, they're so fun and watching foxfire's journey was so fun! I hope to see more in the future if you decide to carry on with the series. 💖

I’ve been wanting to create a creature based off the SKELETON of an anteater for some time. For creepy fantasy creatures I recommend looking up weird animal skeletons and then trying to base a creature purely off of the look of that!

Id go for something snakey and cerberus like for the predator or vermin. Also i aŕoiginally thought Foxfire was your original Mappleshade and something to get back to the WC fandom (which i dont think is bad... its kinda stupid to think someone can forbid another from entering a fandom...) but i am pleasently surprised with this story. No i dont like the format, id prefer so much to have a comic but i upport your choice to work on it lik this and id e excited to see the ppotentional season 2!
Its so amazing how you write stories and play them out through art! Your really good at what you do!! Question though, is there any other kind of creature that plays some sort of role in it besides the cats??
For the preditor how about a wolf x komodo dragon - It maily uses its long tail as a whip to stun the cat (stop them flying) & venomous saliva that could be slow acting/theoreticly washable if the cat is quick enough.

For the predator species I have an idea of a canine species with dragon like wings and larger horns instead of the feather wings with smallish horns, and I do really enjoy this format although i like it more if it was explained but hey we have Nate explains videos

OMG! I tried making a OC from your species and i knew it needed a name but you hadn't given it a name so I called them Draik Cats and the real name is close, Draikitties is unique! Also I love the different characters and the explanation about the tails will help me make my own! I love felicide and am eager for more! When you did the speed paint of NightHawk a while ago I would pause on the family chart and think of theories and most were correct! (Ex: Cinnamon being Tempest's first mate, etc) Another thing, for the predator I was thinking a large snake that would roam, it's venom feared by the Draikitties. Or another idea is a vicious pack of large saber toothed wolves that roam the territory, the wolves resting around the towers in the winter which is why the mothers hate letting the kits out during winter.

I imagined the horns to be covered in a layer of velvet fuzz, like the kind deer get before they shed it. So underneath there’s a horn but the fuzz on top matches the rest of the fur color
Perhaps for the predator you should do something reptile like! But not quite like a dragon! You mentioned something about the predator being venomous so maybe you could get some inspiration from something like a Komodo dragon! I feel like they’re and underrated predator, and basing a species sort off of them would be very interesting and unique!

I don't think season 2 will be organized like season 1 was, all in one month and very structured, just, here's a new video with a new lore update! In which case... I can promise you that's coming soon. ;) Already in my queue.
For the predators: I imagine them to look like some kind of reptile. More specifically something like a komodo dragon or an iguana. I'd think they'd be nocturnal and act more like dogs or coyotes than lizards and maybe they could have bat/dragon wings (or just have comically small bat/dragon wings on their backs that are completely useless). They'd look a little derpy despite being so deadly (keeping the idea of being venomous and in my eyes being as big as a small horse). They'd be omnivores, preferring meat/fish or fruit and to them Draikitties would be the 'eastiest' to catch when hunting. Maybe they'd be semi-aquatic (not having gills though) which helps them stalk their prey or access aquatic prey. They could both inject or spit venom, though they'd be immune to each other's venom. Like komodo dragons/iguanas they are very territorial and fight for dominance and territory *a lot* so it's not uncommon to see them littered with scars. They'd reproduce asexually and have eggs in clutches of 12-15 (sex depending on the temperature like turtles) while their average survival rate is 60-75% since the hatchlings are a tasty snack for any other animals nearby or from natural causes. (and because Draikitties would kill one on sight if getting the chance because well- they're predators) Dunno just some ideas. (I apologize for my poor grammar)
The predator species could be like a frog/reptile canine combo or something! Or maybe a canine-bug mix! (The bug bc some insects can fly) I would suggest coyotes or foxes or painted wild dogs as a good canine base that are likely to go after cats
I talked about some of my Warrior Cats OCS on my channel, haven't done that in a while though. I like OCs they give me and others the opertunety to be creative with no limitations.
Omg the kidney stones. I was diagnosed bout a month and a half ago with them. I also had five and now I keep them in a bottle beside my bed because why not
Man I've never gotten to actually see any of mine. I've had, uh, counting the five, I've had between 7 and 9 cuz there's two incidents I had where I think I had a kidney stone but I didn't end up going to the hospital at the time so I just can't be sure. But I've always managed to pass without actually seeing them! No pee rocks for me, just suffering.
Question: If Nighthawk was basically old enough to not need Tempest taking care of him, then why did he kill Cinnamon? Also, if the kits were the problem to Tempest, why did he kill the mothers, and not just the kits??
asdfashkdjf so i have terminal eldest child syndrome, for reasons i was forced to grow up very quickly as a teenager, and talking about nighthawk having to grow up very quickly- a lot of me talking was cut from that section, including me saying "why am i breathing so fast?" to myself at one point because i had started breathing really fast. and i didnt even notice. thought i was being completely normal. mod silver edited the audio and dmed me like "hey are you good man"

Random thought for their predator, Pupverns, it’s a mix of puppy and wyverns, but I was thinking wyverns cause it’d be a cool design and it’d be able to fly and their more known for venom and poisonous gas in fantasy worlds. (Wyverns are the ones with back legs and their wings are their front legs, I like to call them bat dragons sometimes) just something I thought about while listening to this, and tbh it just came to mind and I wanted to mention it as an idea, up to you though.
Draik: it’s a free species you can make ocs for it Me who already had a story of winged cats: it’s free real estate But I do have my own winged cats ocs that live in pretty similar groups to yours, small villages with 100 cats at least. Each group is ruled differently too, so the Forest group is ruled by elders, and the Cliff Side group is ruled by whoever is strongest. There are also a different species but they don’t hunt my cats, they are being mix’s of reptile cat hybrid things(?) and they are ruled by a single female and the whole group is made up off just her sons. I’ll tell you I am way more proud of the cat bat lizard thing than the cats with wings.
16:33 not sure if someone already suggested this but, here an idea that came to mind for this question... maybe their horns can be similar to giraffe "horns" (which are called ossicones) having a small layer of skin or short velvety like fur. their horns could be used for sparing, In a similar fashion to goats butting heads, until the horns have fully matured (turning into ram like horns and such)
i feel so bad for laughing but in the middle of explaining how foxfires mom died but foxfire lived i got a fight child abuse ad and it was just too much of a coincidence, for me not to laugh.
I think maybe you should make a toy house or something, maybe just so that things like the family tree and most of the different character refs are easily accessible I'm one designated spot. A toy house might also be an interesting way to write about different characters and add on to or create more lore for them! Also, perhaps someone might wanna create fan works, so that could be very helpful to them !! TLDR: a toy house for felicide would be very cool

When I first heard about felicide I was confused because I thought that it was felandia which it’s a game on roblox now I know that there very opposite of each other besides the cats with wings I love felicide so much that I may even make an oc for this
I think a big phoenix or giant hawk type predator would be fun a specially for like a scene where a cat would be flown away by a fiery phoenix lighting up the scene with Orange or yellow. I feel like it would be hard to sneak up on cats if you where constantly on fire so maybe they have some kind of invisibility they could use to secretively catch any unsuspecting cats they find.
I personally think the predator should be some-kind of Dragon-Dog, something with wings maybe but also poses a big threat to Draikitties because it can fly aswell, or maybe a Coyote, Eagle, Owl, Racoon, or like I had suggested before, a dog. Something that would naturally be a predator towards cats.
I hade an idea for the predators: Maybe they could be crocodile like creatures, that have some dragon and venomous snake like abilities to them. Since they kill Draikitties though, they refer to the beasts as “Leatherbacks”, for their almost indestructible skin.
Is there any way you could make a discord where fans could submit designs of their own oc’s? Just a question, but I feel like I would totally want to make my own and submit it there! And maybe if you ever struggle with designs, you could use some of ours! And of course you don’t have to. Or maybe even a discord just explaining new concept ideas or story elements and ideas you may want to share and get advice from? I think it would be cool! I really love this idea, and whether you make a discord or not or do anything, I love your content, thanks for sharing this! I’m so invested, I’ll keep watching!
I don't do a lot of socializing/social media as a public figure anymore, and I've run a few discords in the past and WOWIE ZOWIE they can be a lot of work. So I don't see myself starting a new one any time soon, BUT you can always tag me on tumblr @ Draikinator or deviantart @ Polyhexian to show me your fan designs, and if you're cool with it cameoing in the background of a video I'd love to pop some fan designs in there! I think that would be really fun.
I loved watching Felicide! You did amazing work, and I am excited for any of your other work! By the way, I have an idea what the predator possibly could be, if the predators were actually mice-like creatures that have poisonous bite from eating some kind of plant and hunted in groups, that were known for their building skills and would climb on each other (like fire ants in Antman) to seek out the sleeping Drakekities on any surface.

i think it could be cool for the predator species to be like bigger cats. The draikitties to me seem like they're similar to domestic cats and so I'm thinking maybe their predator can be like wild and big cats
