Derek Hershey You’d see American women like that....but it’s not very often. I like the effeminate confidence combo, it’s pleasant and strong...but with Americans it’s hard to find a middle ground. They’re either too much of something or another. It’s strange because their culture itself is such a well crafted mix of cultures...but with personality...well...they HAVE TO BE SOMETHING DISTINCT. Not bad, just goes to extremes at times... I like Russian women.

That music reminds me of John Williams very much. For those who don't know who John Williams is, he's probably the single most important composer in movies. He composed All 7 previous Star Wars (not this one), All 4 Indiana Jones movies, Jurassic Park 1 and Lost world, Jaws and Super man to name a few. The fact that Michael Giacchino. composed this is absolutely perfect to. He's said himself that John Williams is his inspiration. Giacchino has a very impressive resume as well, look it up

I agree. It all started years ago as a light joke about the plot armor for the hero characters, but it's gotten out of hand. People actually believe it now. Nobody seems to mention how most of the rebel-no-names get steam rolled by Stormtroopers in the OT. Or how Obi-wan acknowledged their precision. Or how much the hero characters tend to miss, too. Stormtroopers were precise and ruthless. They were feared for a reason, but at the end of the day, they were "the bad guys". Hence the plot armor.

Betrayed and abandoned by two separate father figures, with opposite political leanings, leaving her with good reason to dislike either side of the conflict and remain uninvolved, and then having to come to terms and accept that she has to be involved regardless of her feelings. Trained in combat, slick, well spoken, I think she’s an awesome character. To reduce it down to “Disney wanted a female character” is so lame and just not true lol.

you haven't seen ANH? obviously (spoilers...)\ spoiler for ANH they fail at getting the plans, Tantive IV is blown up while trying to save the plans, and the empire blows up Yavin IV, with the help of the 501st legion blasting all of the rebels trying to escape, and luke is captured by vader, and becomes a sith lord and they overthrow palpatine. you have to watch some star wars...
