@@ganh222 JS Bach is my favorite. The "big league" composers everybody knows (Bach, Handel, Hayden, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, etc.) are def not bad places to start. I also really love film scores, & think a lot of the big film composers are great as well (Korngold, Steiner, Hermann, Williams, Silvestri, Powell, & Zimmer immediately come to mind). If I had to pick a favorite piece, I'd either go with Bach's "Little Fugue" or the first movement to Beethoven's 5th Symphony. I'm also really partial to Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro."

Wagner's piece has fallen out of favor recently. His piece has been replaced by Jeremiah Clarke's "Trumpet Voluntary", also called "The Prince of Denmark March", as well as several others.. Mendelssohn's is still hanging in there. We got married in 1969 and we did Clarke on the way in and Mendelssohn on the way out. We may have been ahead of the game and didn't realize it.
