Back in the 70s when I was a kid the senior choir at my church sang this song often. When they did the church nurses and ushers had to carry half the senior choir out the door. Those ladies shouted hard behind this song. Eye glasses really flew with 'Yield Not To Temptation'. lol

I love seeing these vintage performances and sermons from The Ship. I would've loved to have been there in the midst of their prime. Hopefully one day, someone will create a documentary on the history of Rev. Evans & Fellowship, because there is so much more I would love to see and learn. Thank you for sharing!

I visited Fellowship a few weeks before the pandemic started and she wiped us out with “He Decided to Die”… it was pandemonium and Pastor Sharpe kept it going after

She actually did a medley to pay homage to the first choir. She did He’s my everything, this song and a few more. And they original singers of the songs were in the building and the way they lit up, you can tell they felt so honored and she did the songs just like they did them. She didn’t try to change anything. Sometimes “renditions” do the songs no justice, or sometimes singers make it so different that the audience don’t even recognize the song
