Today was the day! We all came together and overcame whatever adversity mother nature could throw at us. Great people running great equipment, with great food! How does it get any better than that.

Glad Rachel and I were able to make the trip. We reunited with a bunch of old friends and made a few new ones. Not to mention I was able to add another Van Deusen axe to the collection! Thanks Brad.

Well done Brad for giving mother nature the bird, and soldiering on through the rain. It sure looks like you achieved your aim, with everyone having a blast operating all the different machines. It's days like these that make me wish I didn't live in the United Kingdom so I could attend. But it's a bit of a long haul 😊😊 keep doing a good job with the content. Take care.

Ben, one of the things that I like most about this community is that we are all equals. Nobody projects and image of themselves as being above or below anyone. Looks like it was a great time! One day I will have to make an event. Take my advice and scrape up the mud/chips and replace it with gravel, sand or millings. I made the same mistake and used chips in places in my wood yard to help solve the mud issue and it just makes it worse. I removed it all and replaced it with sand and then millings. Its been rock solid and much better.

Looking forward to more footage of fellowship only saw Scheib’s post so far. It’s like an Eastonmade Reunion. It’s always enjoyable for a get together for a function. It’s about the camaraderie as much as getting some work done. An amazing lineup of log splitters for people to try. Would have loved being there but it’s a long 4 day drive. Thanks for entertaining us. Cheers my friend.

Have been watching other wood hounds videos of the Fellowship and it all looked awesome. Hopefully I will be able to attend a future "Fellowship of the Furnace". It sure would be hard to decide which is better...All the people in this community or the awesome equipment from Eastonmade! 👍👍 Short of rubbing your crystal ball...There is not a single date of the year that does not come with weather of some type. I personally have always loved the look of your tidy woodyard with the beautiful manicured grass between the rows, but it sure limits the days work or events can be done each year. I finally put some stone down in my woodyard several years ago and will be heading out to split when the sun comes up this morning, after days of rain/snow. I suggest biting the bullet and just get a base in there this spring. It can always be removed and put back to grass if life changes later on. Thanks for hosting and sharing,Brad, family and friends! You all Rock!!🤘

Instead of gravel, maybe some field tile about 10-12 inches deep could be a better investment. It wouldn't let the ground above it to stay saturated. IMO 🤔

I’m extremely glad everyone had a good time and you had a good turnout! Most importantly if you had fun and enjoyed the time with everyone aka THE Wood HOUNDS thats what counts. Also you made it out without your mom kicken your butt for all the mud your golden LOL. Hope she had a wonderful time as well. Hopefully my son and I will make it to your next Fellowship. If you decide to do the second drawing I would just like to make a suggestion you and Chad I believe his name is (the tree service guy) put in shirts and put me down for a ticket please. Again congratulations on what I see as a successful 2 year event!

Brad - Just a homeowner here who bucks and splits wood from a bunch of tree service work done in my yard. Does this type of event happen often amongst firewood people, and who gets all the firewood that was split ? Thnx…

This was originally just an idea to have a few local people over to run an Eastonmade splitter. I had a couple guys reach out and ask if they could see it in person. Well long story short, the invitation blew up into what it is now! I'm humbled and proud of the community we have here.

Great video of fellowship and comraderie. Nice turnout of Eastonmade equipment also. Gotta wonder if 3 or 4 runs of field tile down the road, while the ground is tore up, might get you a better ROI instead of gravel?. Dry out the top 10-12 inches from saturation year round I would think.🤔
