Thank you Dr Tariq for the informative video.. I have a question if some do his fellowship like ID before residency, then after finishing his residency he would be allowed to take the ID board exams or not he would have to do the ID fellowship again??

Most states in USA list 1-3yrs of post graduate training to get state medical licence. Are they referring to ACGME accredited post graduate training(residency) ? In other words, will my 3yr overseas residency training satisfies their criteria? If overseas post grad training is not recognised, then doing fellowship in USA is considered as post graduate qualification and makes me eligible for full state licence?
It varies from board to board of different specialties and subspecialties but your overseas residency training is typically accepted. As a result, most boards allow you to apply for fellowships that most americans dont apply for after their residency. Good luck!
Thank you for your kind words. Yes they are paid regular fellowships. Please look at my salary video to learn how much you get paid during these fellowships. Good luck! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aQNAiHmAASA.html

Hello sir i am an mbbs graduate from india and i am currently doing my radiology residency here. I am planning for radiology fellowship through alternate pathway but i am not sure who to contact regarding this. I have a question though, do radiologists who apply through this pathway face some restrictions while practising after getting board certified or they can practise freely as any other diagnostic radiology attending who completed their radiology residency in US?
Aoa, very informative video. I am an old graduate, Did FCPS general surgery 2012, since then working as consultant/AP in Pakistan. I am interested to do fellowship in subspecialty. I gave step 1 and 2 CK in 2014, was failed in Cs, was planning to give it last year but it was postpond due to Pandemic. Now I have cleared OET, can I get ECFMG certification based on OET.
Aoa, I suggest listening to the Resilience series videos of the surgeons I interviewed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FVz8-1Fv1Is.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n9GpGlAYDMs.html
@@mededia Thank you for reply. I watched those video but my specific question is not answered in those video. Can you help in knowing that based on my case can i apply for ECFMG certification. Based on 2021 match I am ineligible to apply (graduate of 2006) Need to go for fellowship only. Kind Regards
@@naveedharoon2146 honestly no one knows as of yet. I suggest waiting for ECFMG to decide/ finalize the 6th pathway, probably you might be eligible for that. Good luck!
