@5:55 i adore how y'all lubed everything in sight, after overhauling thousands of bikes myself the same way then i would shorten all the cable housings i could, and grease cables and shoot triflow down those shortened housings to magnify all the lube work i did before, and give the customer a bike far better than factory new shorter lubed cables and housings compared to out of the box gave me outstanding customer feedback

As I like to put it, there's a lot going on there. I have a Z100 from 2016 myself, and I wish I had a bike fit before I bought it. Got it in a size small and shortened the stem by 3 cm and the reach is still too long for me. Hard to believe they marketed that bike as an endurance geometry. I wish it fit, then I would ride it more. Live and learn.
@bikeman123
@bikeman123 7 месяцев назад
I have a Z100 too. Its got a much higher stack than all my other bikes. It very much is endurance. They have a flippable 8/16 stem, try flipping it to +16.
@jrother
@jrother 7 месяцев назад
@@bikeman123 I bought it with it in the +16 setup. Reach still too long. I do realize now that I am one of those unfortunate short torso long leg people, but the reach value for the Z100 is the same as in the race bikes. I still feel too stretched out after changing the stem.

Hi from New Orleans. I’m an early subscriber, watch every episode. I have a question about your ultrasonic cleaning. I have a good one much like yours. Highly rated. Commercial use. However, I don’t seem to be able to get rid of rust the way your components come out remarkably clean and new looking. What do you fill it with? Diluted? How long? Do you use heat? Thanks!! Will
@Bikespeeds
@Bikespeeds 7 месяцев назад
No heat, a strong mix of degreaser, 15 minutes. It could be as simple as our climate vs yours. We live on the seaside, our shop can be no further than 2-3 miles from the coast so it could be our salty surface rust 🧡

Something sounds wrong there, it could be a lot of things but unless your component says otherwise that shouldn’t be snapping🧡

Impressive transformation once again. I wanted to ask, how do you apply the autoglym polish to the bikes that come in? I tried to use it on my bike with a microfibre, but the towel seemed to absorb most of it. Any tips or products to use?

We apply a dollop onto the towel then rub it in small circles across the whole bike. Then we take another different and clean towel and buff it off in fast motions🧡
