I thought I would go back, and start at the beginning. That was a lot of effort & work!!! You could always devise a symbol or sigil that would overlay the loose bits. Then you could use a contesting yarn & really go to town; securing & creating art. I'm totally impressed.

Lovely rug I want to order wool too to craft a rug or a warm cosy blanket. I’m thinking to wash the wool first then card it and then felt it let’s hope that will work

Well done, Ditch Witch. I had to laugh however because as a shepherdess/witch, I found your plastic gloves for dealing with raw fleeces funny. I won't scare you with any stories. I was silly enough to try this at a Fair where I was the guest Fiber artst "why not embarrass yourself in front of strangers" I asked myself. I had a troop of people helping me. My rug kept getting bigger and bigger.I needed a frame, I think. People had a blast helping me, and the idea is to get more people doing this type of things. My thoughts- Rolling up a big project might work better on a wider roller. What do you think? I make a lot of felt, but I never felted raw, or a large piece. I used half of Jacob's fleece. I was thinking this would be a neat way to make a furry hat. I live in a snowy place in the North-East of New England. You were a joy to watch.
