Dominick Izzo is a retired police officer from the Chicago area.
Izzo became a police officer in March of 2001 after his first test and served the Round Lake Area community as a patrol officer, NIPAS MFF, FTO, Juvenile Officer, Defensive Tactics / Use of Force Expert, DUI enforcer, community liaison, OIC and more.

Izzo fought against the immoral, unethical and illegal activates by command staff and village officials and spearheaded the efforts to expose them.
In 2016, during a federal lawsuit against the department, where Izzo discovered illegal surveillance, Izzo was terminated for a department policy violation. In 2019 after a successful fight against his corrupt former chief, Izzo was cleared, fully reinstated and retired with good standing. In 2018 Izzo ran for Cook County Sheriff in the Chicago area.
Izzo is currently a radio and podcasting host, entrepreneur, media liaison, and author of Before the Badge: Everything You Need to Know Before You Become a Cop.

I'm not sorry for the statement I'm about to make. Females DO NOT belong in the following: front lines, police/deputies, specialty ops teams, president of the US, Supreme Court Justice, anywhere near extreme decision-making scenarios. We are too emotional. We think with and lead with our emotions. Men think and lead with their brains. Men are natural problem solvers where women are nurturers. Women tend to "fix" situations by either over reacting, hugging it out, or offering ourselves up. I hate to say that, but in most instances, it's true. Men (most) are natural fixers and problem solvers. I have to take a break here for a second and ask, how the f do y'all expect people to "get out" "comply," or "put our hands behind our backs" when were being tased? The f is that? Anyway. The physical standards are different for women as opposed to men for physical tests. I don't think that's fair, either. And these female cops....well, to a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

As a old fella who loves and respects women, O, and a Marine/Army vet believe in the way life was as i was growing up in the 50s n 60s. Folks tried to stay married, we said our prayers and the man went to work and MOM RAISED KIDS N TOOK CARE OF THE HOME. Awwwwwww i miss those days

I was once pulled over for a faulty headlight. While I was dealing with the primary officer, the female secondary asked my 12 year old son for his ID. When he told her he didn't have one, she pulled her firearm and pointed it at his face. I, of course, flipped out. The primary kicked her off the stop and then took my complaint. She was fired within 2 weeks.

So sorry that happened to you. What I find troubling, and I'm ashamed to admit it, is if I would have heard that story a few years ago, I would have said no way. What did you do wrong? The cops are the good guys. They had me fooled. But after hours and hours of research, I have found that story is the norm. The police are out of control and it's proven everyday. They are the farthest thing from the good guys. Always film the police.

I’m a retired female construction worker and I had to deal with a ton of bullshit on the job (especially back in the day when I was working) but I always earned the respect of the men I worked with BY JUST DOING THE JOB! I didn’t once complain or whine. I had to work longer and smarter but I did the job. If there was something I couldn’t do (because men are stronger than women) I ALWAYS made a point of making it up to the men who helped me out. I’d do some of their more tedious tasks that didn’t require as much strength or often be the first one to jump in if they wanted a hand. I also never wore makeup or asked for special favors. This gained me a lot of respect and after 20 years I only had 1 guy that didn’t change his opinion about me being part of his team. I am glad we’re having this conversation because it is definitely important!!!! If I had put my coworkers in danger I completely would’ve found another job.

Thank you for covering this!! I got chewed out online because of my comments when I first saw this video. What i said was: "Her ego is gonna get her or someone else unalived!" So many people said that he should have just complied. I told them that she violated her own department policies from jump! He could have seriously hurt her at any time! As a former Correctional Officer in a Men's Maximum Security Unit, and a woman.. I can tell you 110% that women should not be in Corrections or Law Enforcement positions that might require tussling with MEN!!! PERIOD!! I was raised with 3 brothers and have always been strong, but there's no way I was or will be strong enough to physically fight with a man. When I worked in the prison, I had to find ways to work smarter and use negotiation tactics. I left that position as soon as I could. As emotional as I know we females are, I didn't want to work in a Women's Unit. This officer is an embarrassment to that badge!!! And, by the way, I read that this guy was Columbian and didn't understand English very well

Absolute insanity. Cops get paid by the hour. She acted as if everything needed to happen in the first 3 seconds. First opening the door is 4 amendment violation everyone knows that. And then reaching in putting her hands on somebody before even saying a word. Next she goes to I'm going to tase you, one Mississippi, tase. This cop has a serious serious issue

She took him by complete surprise, never said anything to him about what he did, instantly went to violence. She discharged her taser almost as soon as she gave the warning. After it was shown by audio that he possibly didn't hear the sirens, he probably saw the lights and assumed she was after someone else not realizing he's speeding due to either being too comfortable with the car or just not being used to it in general

Number one thing keep your damn doors locked. That would have slowed this escalation down a little bit. This is in reference to the female cop pulling the speeder over. He didn't have a chance to call anybody period or do anything she immediately open that door. Which I believe is a violation of your Fourth Amendment right. Cuz it was completely unnecessary to issue a ticket.

I’m on the fence about men being overzealous when it comes to retaliation for their female partners - That said what I’m not unclear about is this problem demonstrated in the video - the inability for a 5’4 woman to physically defend herself (seemingly against a man her size). It really throws her ability to protect & serve into question if I’m honest.

I used to take offense to your hot take. But you’re right. These women go 0-100 worse than men. In California it’s required to identify and articulate the nature of the stop. Why is she using force? What threat was he? If the roles were reversed and a male cop did this to a woman there would be public outcry.

No , he’s Not right. We see the exact same things for male officers, multiple times a day. The EXACT thing. Just search RU-vid. This is cherry picking. In fact men lead female officers in all categories of this nature, even when adjusted for the difference in employment numbers. They lead in excess force, unconstitutional arrests, homicides, S asults, friendly fire incidents, lawsuits, names on the Brady list, loss of certificates, loss of qualified immunity, number of people shot, killed, hospitalized, and paralyzed, number domestic dogs they slaughter, number whom become gypsy cops, lead in fakes dui arrests, officers committing DV, mishandling of evidence, and even crash of their own cruiser. His take is delusional and not substantiated by any facts or reality. It’s a result of both confirmation bias and cognitive bias. Why? One can only assume it’s due to personal insecurities or antiquated / discriminatory beliefs. Some of its certainly a result of Dunning Kruger. But also helps to associate blame while making his own service and corrupt contributions seem more significant and justified. He was a better LEO then any female….lol. There’s over a dozen incidents like this one, this very week all be male officers. One fun incident is where a NYC officer shot not only a suspect for simply jumping a train but also shot his own partner, an innocent female civilian in the leg and a 49 year old innocent man in the head. Don’t forget the officer whom shot up his own cruiser because an acorn fell on the roof….tell me who’s more dangerous statistically, mathematically…factually. Big Midnight Pot calling the tiny grey kettle black. He uses individual incidents to justify a position kinda like people do with politics these days. Unfortunately the American public lacks the cognitive fortitude and intellectual evolution to rationalize such information.

Recently retired Green Beret and currently in the police academy… I have brought this issue up (tactfully) about how the use of force of individual cops vary based on size, strength, and defensive skill level of that said cop. Long story short: because I am a male combat proven Special Forces soldier who competes in Jiu Jitsu, I am expected to practice force titration to a greater extent than that of someone less trained, less physically capable, and less emotionally and mentally resilient. It’s simply gender discrimination. Because if I acted in a manner the other cop did, I’d be on the hook for excessive force.

I understand fully the part about women being emotional...... what I don't understand, and can't, is how and WHY so many male LEOs are so easily being in their emotions and being angry as much as they do. I found this particular channel because I watch 1A channels and in far too many of those videos I see male officers getting outright pissed at people in their *FEELINGS* in a personal way. Professional conduct standards apply to behaviors which can't be taught. I believe we can agree not all men on the job should be doing it either.

I don't think this was a stop for speeding. I believe it was for failing to signal a lane change. You stopped the video to see what road she was near. The sign said "Exit 81 - 1 1/2 miles." 90 seconds later the man stopped at mile post 81. At 70 mph, it would take him less than 90 seconds to travel 1 1/2 miles.

1. You could find males doing the exact same thing. 2. Probably criminal speed so if she chose to go the removal route he continued to resist. 3. Use of force continum is a broad idea but has been disbanded by many agencys due to the fact that use of force do not usually go step 1,2,3 4. Shes a highway cop she not going to pull people off the highway. 5. Asking people to call a supervisor and another officer is going to increase this during other criminal investigations because people will think that will solve there problem that they could solve with compliance and court. 6. It looks like she tased him in the upper thigh. 7. Your views before you made this video on females being cops were already set, this video is one of many but theres also videos of male cops doing the same thing if your going to review police use of force you should look at it objectively and from a teaching standpoint rather than a belittling one.

Woman in Law Enforcement just aren’t on average as strong as men! If a woman cop gets confronted by a burly villain, I’d doubt she’d have a chance with a one in one w/o her having a gun & the violins not!
