Yes, she was, there are NO Co-Ed troops in the Scouts BSA (age 10-18)Eagle Rank highest earned. There is Co-Ed in a Venture Crew & Sea Scouts - ages 14-21. These two are other divisions of Boy Scouts of America. Another highest Rank is earned. Summit Rank for Venture, & Quartermaster Award for Sea Scout. Excited for your daughter. Make sure you visit at least 3 Troops. They all have a different feel, make sure your daughter feels welcome & immediately includes her in activities, making her feel welcome, while you get to ask questions of the adult members. One more thing… some Troops have both girl & boy troops that do share some activities, but are set up separately! Hope this helps.
@@scoutingamerica1910 that makes sense. I guess that the troop that I thought was co-Ed is actually a boys troop and a girls troop that does activities together. So far all of our pack has crossed over into these troops. They seem very well organized and active. The other troop that I would like to visit is a girls troop without an associated brother troop. We’ve been invited to visit with a boys troop in the past. But we are a little confused by this.
@annaandjuju I can only think the invite by the boys troop could possibly be they are wanting to start a girls troop, & new of other girls who might be interested. Otherwise, not sure why they’d invite you. Good luck!
