Thinking the same thing. They are highly intelligent and need constant new problem solving challenges to explore and thrive. I felt for that little creature.
Oh my god. I'm so stressed out watching this. That poor fella in the back pacing like that breaks my heart. They obviously really want to get out so badly enough that they're displaying erratic behaviors. Does anyone in charge not notice this? Do they even care? Wtf?
@@thermalserpent4269 Are u just stupid or what??? How many times are u gonna post that retarded comment? These animals are stressed, not meant to be kept in such a small environment. I would love to lockup morons like u in the same way and see how you "exercise" to increase your stamina! What a tool!
They're going insane, that's what's wrong with them. The repetitive behaviour of the other badger makes that obvious. They shouldn't be in such a shitty cramped environment. They're intelligent animals who need space and mental enrichment. This is just down right cruel. Anywhere that keeps animals in such inadequate situations should be closed the fuck down, no questions asked. And all people can do is point and laugh, and make videos of their suffering. The general mentality of the world today. Makes me sick.
@ramon puentes These are honey badgers and they require a very large space with many things inside to keep them busy. These are the highest level energy animals and will develop severe mental issues if not properly cared for. Their enclouser is a joke and not healthy for them.
@@yahtzeeeuook3193 How else can you get the word out about what's happening in the zoo? They're not going to accept a reporter who's going to interview them just to ruin their business.
I generally don’t have a big problem with animals being in some sort of captivity if they are given the Spence they need along with everything else, but it’s clear they don’t have enough room here. They are going crazy and it’s not cute.
This animal shouldn't be in captivity, part of there genetic make is to be able to move up to 25 miles a day, I don't think it's a good ideal to piss those little guys off!!!!
I have seen the repeated back and forth movement by a bear in a zoo and I was concerned just like the badger in this one. Vets should find out why zoo causes this mental illness
This is heartbreaking to watch. Incredibly intelligent animals in anguish. I wouldn't have been laughing I would have been angry. Can't watch this all the way through
T Toughtask you say that yet you're probably one of those people who would stand there gawking at it through the glass, taking pictures like "This zoo is great! Herpy derp!" so stfu the guy made a valid point.
Actually really sad, that one has gone nuts, look at his pacing and the other desperately looking to escape. One of the only animals smart enough to use tolls should not be kept in a tiny enclosure.
These poor animals. Their enclosure is woefully inadequate. There are zero enrichment activities in their for them. The incessant pacing is a sure sign of issues most likely due to boredom. So sad. ☹️
Prague zoo please release your honey badger back into the wild....if there was ever a creature that isn't ment to be confined to a cage it's the honey badger....please free the honey badger.
This is tool use ! More work needs to be done to investigate and explain the role of this degree of intelligence in this creatures adaption and evolution!
I’m sorry, but the Honey Badger in the back running back & forth, yeah he/she is displaying _stereotypical behaviors._ After the first few minutes, the female with the rock is also displaying stereotypical behavior. This usually means the animal is either depressed or in distress. How do I know this?! When I was in the first year of university, one of my Profs was asked to assess a Polar Bear at our local Zoo. She was seen pacing back & forth in this one tiny section of her enclosure, head was down & after a while, she refused to eat. She was put on Prozac but it did little to help. She died & there hasn’t been polar bears there since. As much as I would love to see Honey Badgers & other animals up close & personal, some animals just can’t be kept in captivity, even for conservation purposes. Or the zoo is not providing enough enrichment for the animal. In this case, if the zoo can’t give the animal what they need, it’s best to just send them to a place that can & let them help with conservation
cruel..I hate to see animals stuck in tiny enclosures..the other badger is just running back and forth manically, while the female is desperate to escape. This world is not Our personal zoo
I seen lot worse honey badgers home in other zoos like Higashiyama 東山 zoo in Toyama, 富山, Japan where people are giggling loud and the honey badgers have barely space to lie down as if they are so close to the crowds they might actually collide with the noisy crowds.
Animal cruelty. Look how it goes the same way, over and over. Clearly stressed. These animals live using 100m miles, and this is heartbreaking to see. Should be forbitten.!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately badger can't really grab the stone with his one paw. If he could use both paws to hold it and smash against the window however he might be successfull given badgers' legendary strength.
What a horrible abusive enclouser for honey badgers. What kind of shitty zoo is this. The entire thing is too small including the outside and you can see the repetitive behavior being displayed. Mental torture for these animals, these keepers should be locked up inside there and not allowed to leave and the badgers freed. Crappy animal torturing 3rd world zoo in Prague.
@@Whispererinthenoise Right... I should believe some stupid magazine trying to make money, over my own eyes watching this poor animal which is so clearly stressed out and going in circles as it goes insane. I will always believe what I see with my own eyes.
I don't think he's trying to escape, I think he's tired of people watching him, so he's rubbing the rock around on the glass so people can not see through the glass, that's what it looks like!
Clickbait. He didn’t break the glass, he just rubbed a rock on the window in desperation while his friend in the back seemed to be having an anxiety attack.
Use this tape to convict whoever's responsible for putting them in there, and let they themselves do some time, behind a glass,to see how it feels to be in a confined space.
