Female hunter close call w/ BEAR ATTACK! (self filmed deer hunting solo female) 

Black bears generally lack to courage to seek out a fight with humans BUT you never know what they will do when they feel in danger and are in a fight or flight situation. IMO the closer they are, the more likely they are to feel like they lack the opportunity to flee and chose to fight you instead. And you're not winning that fight. Best case scenario is you manage to land a good punch on their nose before you're incapacitated and the bear ends the engagement and runs away but the bear's strikes are gonna do a lot more damage than yours... I'm not sure if that bear was following her smell, or the smell of her food, but it was clearly headed at her. She should've made her presence known and tried scaring it away much sooner imo.

She handled that poorly. Should’ve scared off the bear well before it got up on her blind. She’s lucky that bear didn’t maul her

@@hellscuntcrusher9012 Yeah I agree. I've seen black bears several times in the wild. Most of the time they just walk in some random direction that's not towards me, so I let them keep going and stay put as I watch them pass. But I did have one encounter when I was gutting some fish I caught and a bear and her cub popped out of the bushes about 60-70ft from me. I stood up and we stared each other down for 1-2 seconds before I shouted a bunch at them at the top of my lungs and they tucked tail. If a bear is heading towards your general direction and acting like they didn't notice you, or if they are intentionally heading straight towards you, you have to make your presence known and try to scare them off before they get any closer. The closer the bear gets, the more vulnerable they will feel and the less likely they are to feel like they can leave/run away and the more likely they are to choose fight rather than flight. This bear was definitely being too bold and it was no accident that it was heading straight at her. At the 3:20 mark I would've been like "ok enough messing around, back off".

I'm surprised she didn't make you sleep on the couch. :P How did you get attacked if you don't mind getting into it? I've seen black bears many times here in Canada, but they mostly kept to themselves. Just had one time one came to investigate the fish I was gutting and I scared it away as soon as I saw it.

There was no attack. Headline was intentionally misleading to get you to watch. This chic although very beautiful to say the least. Knows very little about hunting. She should stick to saltwater fishing. There she is very knowledgeable.

The bottom line is, we grow up. The first time I was bathing in a SoCal stream and on a 2 week hunting trip. I was smelling ripe and knew a year round stream and decided to bath in a water fall. The bear came from up canyon and decided it didn't want wildlife research soap. He flung poop on me and ran away. The second, I was renting a house, homeless. that had no doors or windows and I had a 400lb bear try to pull the plywood I had as a door up. He showed up at midnight when I got off work and left at 0520 when my landlord started his truck. I played guitar and beat his paws with a Maglight all night while he pulled on the door. I now get a bear tag every year. At first, I'd punch her maybe every month, but we knew each other for years before that. She knew what I was about and I'm a vet. Shes in Taekwondo now with our kids and I haven't hit her in 15 years in my sleep.
