The amount of attention I have gotten since getting my Mohawk is insane… My favorite was the little 90+yr old lady who said “I have never seen someone look so cute with such a loud hairstyle.” “Aren’t you just the cutest!” It still cracks me up!!!!
I'm like,, the most shy and introverted person ever and it's funny because I have obnoxiously bright red hair (which I'm deeply in love with) and it obviously brings a lot of attention to me bc of how much it stands out lol! I do dislike getting stared at but I'll never get rid of my red hair hahah
People look at you because you are a beautiful woman with a Unique Personal Style... Il be 60 in July (I'm told by strangers that I look 10 years younger)... People always look, a couple gazes & a few Stares. You sound very young, so cultivate the Loveliest Parts of who you are... Strengthen the parts you may find uncomfortable. I see a Red (MO or Faux) Hawk on a younger Woman, stunning!
I've been cutting/clippering my own hair for over 7 years. I had my hair clippered 40 years ago (long thick ringletted hawk), with buzzed themes & sides. Back then it was considered "shocking". Here I am in June 2020, first time in 3 years, I've let it go, let it grow. I hate it... I look old & raggedy. I just bought brand new clippers 2 months ago & in 2 days my brand new hair shears will be in my hand. I'm very cautious with angles & texturizing, studying unique elements of cuts & styles. I'm A Curly Head who used too much heat in straight blow outs. My curls have just now come back, so I'm strategizing my new cut. So excited! A Woman who cuts, clippers or shaves her head... Dramatically Changes her Life! Just Do It!
After 40 years of long, curly hair, I shaved it all off into a Mohawk last year. I love it! It feels so good, and with curly hair, I don't need to use any products on it except a leave in conditioner or a little argan oil.
You definitely rock this haircut. I would love to do this to my own hair but I don't wear or own any makeup. I feel wearing makeup helps balance this haircut.
Omg I felt the same way when I first got it. Now that it takes me 1/4 of the time to get ready though I can actually play and have fun with makeup....I feel it feminizes the look since it’s such a drastic hairstyle
Good points! Definitely need a beanie with short hair :) I agree with the attention part as well as many looks or comments are often the norm- some good and some just rude depending on how comfortable people feel expressing their opinions about your hair - one thing that constantly seems to happen for me is people assuming that I'm a lesbian even though I'm married to a man and have a daughter. Oh well!
You should def try to cut it urself! It’s actually really easy. The trick for me is to get a tri-fold hanging mirror like the “self cut system” so you have all angles hands free. Go slow and be patient. But now I’ve been doing this cut on myself for 8 months now and I’m super fast at it now!
I dont have a mohawk exactly. my hair is kinda like a mini mohawk. I think they call it a faux hawk with undercut? either way, I find I personally use way less product, simply because my natural long hair is very wavy curly, which requires much more product for maintenance
I actually have the same cut but my hair is a bit longer. It was actually impulsive and I was like hey what if I shave the other side and I just did it and I did it myself to so far I've been lucky not to shave anymore than I wanted . I actually think it's perfect and if you cut it just right you can always hide it with a middle or side part to change it up and noone will ever know. Although I hardly go for that look but it's always nice to switch it up.
@Lively Scorpio I really dont understand how ppl think just bc its a little thicker or bc it isnt spiked means it isnt a Mohawk. What else would you call that hairstyle? Lol
@Lively Scorpio like.. Its not just having a side shaved. The defintion of mohawk is "bith sides of the head are shaven, leaving a noticeably longer section in the middle"
I really wanna do it!!! But I’m scared because my hair is naturally curly so I’m wondering if I would still be able to scrunch product in it and it look good or if it would look like a frizzy mess?
Who do you get your hair cut by? I had the same cut a year ago but I never found anyone confident enough to do my hair and when I did she stoped doing hair 😫 I also live in Houston but more in the woodlands area
Hey Tania! So I'm in Spring 😉 I go to Lauren at American Hair Works on Rayford. Awesome price and she's super sweet ❤️ I just made another appointment for a trim ...lol
Rosa Duarte TV, I just wanted to let you know my Grammy turned me on to your channel and I have never loved RU-vid more! You inspire so many people and I know that’s a fact. I loved your hair so much I wanted to do a trim of my own. I would love to show you a pic because your right it’s so low maintenance #IWokeUpLikeThis
@@madalynnweidner5042 Hi chica! Thanks so much for tuning in, I'm so glad you like what I'm posting...it truly means so MUCH ❤️😉 And yes! I'd love to see a pic of your hair! Post it on the comments in my FB page, I can't wait to see it 😍
I've been in the process of growing the mohawk out but had a fit the other day and decided to shave my sides again 😂 so now it's more of an undercut pixie. I'll post a video for sure!
