What a refreshing interview to listen to. A man of God, holding fast to the Word of God and boldly, yet gently, declaring the truth in the world we are living in.
@@josephtidwell8036 I don’t think you can have discernment without knowing the Bible, but you’re right it’s both. I would encourage everybody to look up the word knowledge in the dictionary the meaning is much deeper than the surface understanding we all have.
We have to pray without seizing. We have to establish our personal relationship with Jesus and keep our eyes in Him 24/7. Read the Word God often. Put on the armor of God before you go anywhere! Plead the blood of Jesus over yourself and family faithfully.
When you haul out the smoke machines, electric guitars, and drum set and it can be heard across the street, you have a concert, not a place of worship.
i belong to a small church in which we study an entire book of the bible from start to end. My pastor takes each verse and exponds on it. I've never felt like I do in this setting. Refreshed each Sunday.
One must remember that just about all of the churches & Christians written about in the New Testament lived in times where societies and governments were hostile toward them. By in large we have not known that here in the US on a larger scale, but yes that is changing.
Warm wisdom and biblical truth throughout. Thank you for the tremendous encouragement from Dr Mohler : the integrity of the Gospel. Dr Mohler went to the epicentre of the battle. Covid shook nations and churches and faithfulness came into sharper focus. Dr Mohler's hopefulness inspires me to praise our Lord and not become discouraged. Thanks again CBN!
As a conservative Methodist going through the disaffiliation, I would like to point out that having female clergy didn't seem like a big deal at first. But wait 15 years and then you have less authority because you Already aren't following the Word. So who are you to say 'But the Bible says'...
We just studied this subject in my Bible study class and The Bible talks about women and their spiritual gifts and how God uses women to do his will. Just to name 2 women Ruth and Ester plus so many more
Actually, it's not new. Paul wrote to the Ephisians they were having this problem. New women converts who used to worship Artimis, godess of fertility, were of the belief that women were over men. Paul's writings were to correct that way if thinking because these women did not know the word and they were leading people astray.
Our church was kept going for a few years with a female pastor. She gave good messages. Now there is a male. My denomination makes no distinction between male and female pastors. They say in Christ there is no distinction for preaching the gospel. Anyone can preach the truth.
@Jason Pierce I will go to my grave thanking the 1970s women's liberation for the rights and freedoms that I now have because my generation lived under the boot of men like you.
@@Dustandfuzz please open your Bible to 1st Timothy 2:11-12. "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent."
@@fairedepeche🤣🤣And because of YOUR liberation you are seeing the rot of the country like President Lincoln talked about. I remember watching on tv people like you marching in the streets, burning their bras, because you wanted equal pay, treatment and fairness. Yet when I was in the Army out of a class of 100 at Fort Hood, not one female Soldier raised her hand to volunteer for a combat MOS and fight on the battlefield. Or what about PassPort Bros going overseas to find women to marry who aren’t tainted and poisoned with American womanism ideology. Why is it that 64% of men in this country tell women to cram marriage up their azz because no decent thinking man enters a marriage contract knowing that the woman is rewarded for breaking it. It’s obvious you are clueless on what the Bible says and God says for that matter about men and women. Just like in the Army there is ONE Commanding Officer and ONE Executive Officer. There is ONE leader leading and another backing him up. Just as God is head and leadership of man, man is head and leadership of woman. You can’t have two CEOs of a company and expect the company to succeed. Oh and let’s not forget about the time when I was stationed in South Korea as a tank commander gearing up for Iraq and my XO was telling me a story about his FEMALE Commander of a Patriot missile battery that Saddam Hussein was raining down scuds on their position and she was curled up in a ball in the fetal position crying and refused to give fire commands until he took over and gave the commands to fire back!! Yea that’s a woman for ya, failing at a time of need in combat!! So as far as I’m concerned you can take your feminism to the grave and on the way there shove it up your azz you m0r0n and while you’re at it go F YOURSELF!!!!!!
Thank you for your courage and honesty! It is gratifying hearing a leading church figure saying that the Bible is the Bible, the Word is clear, sin is sin. I hear you on the being compassionate and kind and agree that we need to do that, but with courage to stand by our convictions.
I would push back a little on the prediction that we will no longer discuss issues of gender as the tension tightens - we tried that with Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and it only fueled a narrowing of biology into ideology.
My dad who grew up in the 50s said the state we live in they wanted to build one campus in the middle of the state and have ALL kids go to school there, live there for 9 months of the year to educate kids to answer to the state and not the parents. Fortunately it never got passed in the Capitol.
It's important to name the state. It would be interesting to see what the agenda of that state is, today. It's unlikely they just gave up on that agenda. Those kinds of people rethink their approaches and throw it at the public over and over, until it sticks. So, what state?
Sounds like communism to me. It reminds me of something that Bill Clinton started in Arkansas, called the Governor's School, however that was not universal, but it was selective enrollment. However, as you might imagine, Clinton's school was accused of trying to brainwash the children.
If we are going to use our Bible for a reference point. Unfortunately in numerous places an explains the role of women in church. Now if we're going to hold these scriptures as true it doesn't change in 2023 does it? ?
He is so right. In my area it is difficult to find a "Bible" church that preaches the entire Bible, including the message of the Gospel. The second problem in the church is the lack of "Biblical" fellowship. Acts 2:42; Romans 12:9-13 🙏✝️
there is a dearth of churches of the Lord that teach solid doctrines as admonished by the apostle Paul in his epistles - that is right exegesis as well as proper exposition or explanation of the Scriptures
Great topics were discussed, well put, well said and the representation of CHRISTIANS and how we feel was so on point!! Thank you for this interview. Because this interview allows ALL OF US (Christians) to express ourselves. WE HEAR YOU AND WE ARE WITH YOU!!
Also for most people as much as they may try parents today are so harried and overwhelmed by just trying to survive they are barely aware of what their children are being influenced by. It is best not to put children in that situation by sending them to public school.
What is written in Galatians 3:28? 👉📖 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
That verse was saying salvation is available to all. It doesn't mean a male can dress as a woman and it makes him a woman and vice versa. It's not only available to Greeks or to just men only. Aways need to look at the context in which it is written.

Thank you Doctor Mohler for a Biblical conservative message in the present cultural confusion. Everybody should listen to this discussion and think deeply about the issues dealt with.
Everybody who believes women can’t lead is not paying attention to Jesus but adhering to what became the cultural norm after the end of the 2nd century
@@shulamite6128 Paul did preach that in the last days ppl wouldn’t tolerate good doctrine. Women pastors is a good example of poor doctrine. In fact, very much like Mormonism and other heresies
@@shulamite6128 It is written that Jesus treated women as equals and that women supported His ministry. In four cases, He used women as evangelists. You can believe that patriarchal reversal if you choose but you’re not looking at Timothy in the proper light. Quietness? Women were told to prophesy and not speak? Priscilla is mentioned first as to teaching Apollos and that establishes primacy. Hmmm……
I'm writing a book myself about Gender confusion in animals. It is more prevalent than one might think. 365 days ago, my pit bull came home drunk one night. He expressed to me that he thought he was really a chicken. I didn't waste any time; I immediately started feeding him chicken feed and put him on bark blockers. He started growing tail feathers. Now he sleeps in the hen house. Today, 365 days later, he started laying "pooched eggs"! I quickly taped his picture to a can of beer so he could celebrate! You may have a cat that jumps up on things, remember that cat might really be a monkey! Birds of a feather flock together. Don't flock with them!
Beautiful dialogue! :) Dr. Mohler is blessed with this gift of intellectual humor, and it's impressive to listen to his dignifying answers related to the worldly pressure on Christian values, and the speed of delivering those answers. :) Praise the Lord for guiding His people !
GOD, said absolutely nothing about homosexuality, only a couple of men whose writings were collected in the Bible. Have you ever wondered why Jesus Christ never mentioned any of the issues that so called 'christians' get so worked up about these days? Here, though, is what Jesus Christ actually said: Mark 12:31 "And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
It's good to see dr Mohler stating he's a conservative. He lost a lot of credibility and influence over the last couple of years because of sitting on the fence. I just pray that he makes the right decisions. In his book "The disappearance of God" he has a great perspective on what is going on in the West right now and I was surprised to see his stance on issues like CRT. Interestingly enough he is also realising that the seeker friendly approach of Rick Warren is only producing numbers of fake converts.
Loved this. Started attending a Southern Baptist church after the United Methodists quit believing in authority and inerrancy of Scripture. Al Mohler is on point awesome!
I agree that Dr Mohler is a great man of God n is being greatly used by him But what u changed denominations, why did u not consider a full gospel pentecostal church??? I have grown up in the Assemblies of God. I will say that I appreciate the Southern Baptists desire to not sway from Biblical teachings. Even at the cost of potential dwindling membership. I always remember, that Gideon kept on reducing his army clear down to 300. Numbers are not everything and not always a sign of spiritual strength!

What will SB do when they get to heaven and find out God is a women. Will they vote God out of heaven or make their own heaven? Made in God’s image is female and male-One God we worship.
I hope the SBC stands strong. Women do not need to be preachers; it's not SBC setting that standard, it's God's Word. No one can change His Word, and though it is a solid standing, it won't always make you popular. Stand strong on the righteous side; that's standing on His Word.
WHY DID GOD KILL WOMEN, MEN, BOYS, AND KEEP THE GIRLS WHO WERE NOT WITH MALES TO BE DIVIDED WITH THE ARMY OF ISRAEL? ONLY A FEMALE CAN BRING THAT OUT AND MEN DON'T WANT TO BE TOLD, I TOLD YOU THAT BIBLE IS MAN MADE!
They were female evangelists, and prophets in Scripture. Where does it say God decided to silence half of the population by not allowing women to speak? There are currently both male and female Apostles, Prophets, evangelist pastors and teachers (the 5-fold ministry) which is in effect and will be till the church is called out. Also the gifts of the Spirit are still in operation None of those for male-only An example of such a woman would be Jane Haman, Jacquie Tyre , Anne Tate and many many more.
Christian churches that struggle with the principle of women not being pastors in congregations, have to seriously study/ deliberate the role/s that women can, should, play in churches? It can not be wrong for women to become biblically and theologically trained, and then have a strong desire to share this knowledge with others?....not only bake cookies?
It’s not wrong! Lol women led churches and there are examples in the Bible. During these trying times the western church won’t be able to sit around and debate such trivial man made things 😂 We will see who truly walks with Jesus and I think these types of people are going to be in trouble
I see a huge number of people seeking church today. The churches in my city and surrounding towns are bulging at the seams. People I never believed would go to church are. Its refreshing when church parking lots are more full than bar parking lots.
Interesting from a man who mentored Russell Moore and gave him lots of power at a very young age. He is now one of the most woke power persons in the SBC. Huge mistake putting him in charge of the SBC political lobby after his Dean position at your Southern seminary.
No matter what you say no matter how you say it all that matters is that it applies to the people who have accepted Christ. The people who have accepted Christianity as a way of life are the only people that applies to. As a Christian, you cannot make anyone else do what you forced them to.
I am Christian and i dont believe what he says....LOVE IS LOVE JESUS IS ABOUT LOVE AND GOD IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN JUDGE ANYBODY!! HE IS WHO I HAVE TO ANSWER TO NOT MEN WHO THINK THEY ARE ABOVE WOMEN BECAUSE GOD MADE THEM FIRST!!
Frankly, Al Mohler is one of the few 'old white males' that I honestly believe is telling the truth, and I have faith in his advice. He has a good heart, and a keen intellect. He has said that racial reconciliation is obviously a Christian value. He said that when most conservatives were embracing the 'Christian Nationalist' agenda.

To walk as jesus walked means to celebrate the torah in all that relates to you. To teach anybody else anything different is misleading the brethren
This has been a struggle in the SBC with rebellious, un-submissive women who are in rebellion against GOD. They are not in rebellion against the SBC but GOD. It's not their role any more than it's a divorced man's role or a single man's role like myself. God's Word is VERY CLEAR as to who can lead His church. Jesus had no female disciples. There were no female Levites. No female Rabbis.
I agree with women as speakers sometimes with important issues and in worship team. But not as pastors or Rabbis. This is only for men, strictly agree. But I believe this problem is in many churches.
He made a comment in passing that caught my attention... "We are made in God's image, we are image bearers..." It made me wonder if that's why when we get very close (or even slightly close) to AI looking "human" it usually sets of Uncanny Valley effect (ie creepy doll vibes). We are trying (in a sense ) to replicate God's image and (outside of born children) we are treading on thin ice as reflected by our psychological distaste at the results
What a nice man! I admit that I’ve only be tangentially away of what had been going on in the SBC. Technically, my family attends a BIC church although I haven’t gone for a while due to a doctrinal issue and women in leadership, so maybe that’s why I’ve been watching closely. I agree with you comment regarding numbers. It was a social norm to attend church so everyone did. All the businesses were closed so there was little else to do. Unfortunately and I will add to our detriment that these norms are no longer in place. In short, I think that the number of true believers may essentially be the same as it was decades ago and those that really were never believers in the first place just no longer feel the pressure to attend.
In the old testament it mentions... a prophetess/ a woman of God was sent to a king into the king's tent to put a tent peg into his forehead, to get rid of his weariness in life... ending the king's life. Meaning God does use women to preach and as prophetesses

I am 73 and life long SBC church member and deacon for many years. My current church as we moved again voted to remove ourselves from the SBC and their 2000 year old culture of treating women as property. In the Bible there are several mentions of women leading "house churches" of the day in their homes. Most likely widows as that was about the only way they were independent. Our church as three pastors and two are women with only the current and newest of group being a male. We have about half of the deacons as women. We are growing and serve our very diverse area with a large college, major senior living and care facilities in area, many nationalities, our share of the poor, etc; and minister to them all. The college group which has lots of turnover is a major part of our praise team. Recently one of the graduates who had served two years as an intern working with audio visuals and music felt the call to ministry and will go to a seminary nearby, NOT BAPTIST. SBC will be dead for all practical purposes soon as funds will dry up.
Does your church tell women that they should stay at home and love their children? It's in the bible. Also all those men in the beginning were brutally cancelled. And we are going back to that should women who are so precious be brutally cancelled? Remember the titanic if they remade that movie and had the women and children go down with the ship while the men got in the lifeboats it would be disgraceful.

Adam was standing there with her and ate with her. I do not see Adam yelling a warning. This is why Jesus died for all and not just Eve. God chose to come into this world through the womb of a woman. Mary carried the Word within her and birthed the Word into the world as a man. The first evangelist was hand picked by Jesus, she was a Samaritan woman abused and rejected by the men in her life. She carried the gospel to her entire community. At the resurrection Jesus chose to appear to a woman. Mary carried the Good News of the resurrection and ascension to the disciples. We went from the first gardener lost to sin to the second gardener who had become King and every important aspect of His ministry were heralded by women. There is no male or female in Christ, only His Bride.
