This was basically a compilation of “these producers are female??” For me. It’s not that I don’t think women can’t be incredible with music, it’s just that I can’t recognize gendered names from other languages 💀
im so happy you added hitoshizuku-p in this video! she's one of my favorite producers 😭❤️ also i never heard of kasamura tota and i wish i had known her earlier cause her songs sound really good
I've only heard of my queen oster. Only heard of jesus p on remote control, tiara with sayonara, reol best girl. Empath p, lovely voice provider of daina. But these ladies, i must listen to thier songs.
This is so cool! I really hope more women (and non-binary people too) become part of the Vocaloid scene, since it’s always been kinda male dominated for some reason
For real! I'm so happy she made it on the list and was genuinely surprised when I heard the KaiMei song I favourited on Spotif ages ago just because it sounded nice! Though I'm sad there was no mention of Time-Forgotten one, it's kinda my favourite :')))
@@pixelpudding3914 Two original songs actually. I'd say the issue is actually that she's gone inactive in the voicesynth community and quietly moved to a different profession, which is VTubing and making L2D models.
I've always thought it was weird there weren't many female Voca producers, since most of the fanbase is (at least in the west), I hope we get to have more diverse artists around ^^
Female vocaloid producers are awesome! Also, thanks for putting one of my fav vocaloid producers, aka jesusP Also I was today years old when i realized the 2 ppl in the pic that plays secret garden (the song at 4:08 ) ARE LITERALLY SANS AND FRISK IN SOME WEIRD AU-
There's a song made by Kasamura Tota, it's titled "akenai yoru no lily" and it's sung by Fukase. This is one of my favourite vocaloid songs ever and listening to it literally makes me cry. I recommend checking it out!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO I'm tired of hearing "why are all vocaloid producers male??" it's because there are GIRLBOSSES out here people don't know about (*^ー^)ノ♪
The first female producer I thought of was Pepoyo and I‘m pretty surprised she‘s not on the list, given her popularity! She may not be very well known within the English community, but she wrote the euthanasia song, which became huge thanks to the animation memes and stuff.
hitoshizuku, hinayukki and jesus-p are some of my favorite vocaloid producers EVER they only make bangers you guys (and hinayukki is so underrated... it's so sad)
Badly needed video thank you lord Minnemi here are some more female producers if anyone is interested (correct me if I'm wrong): -*Luna is made of a man and woman duo -Natsu-P (SCL Project) -Omoi (man/woman duo again) -CrusherP (tho she's inactive as a producer now) -Cillia/Kyaami
Honestly ur videos are so interesting to watch bc I’m always learning stuff from them even tho I’m a vocaloid veteran. You led you ever consider making more of these types of vids say about English producers, or lesser known producers etc? I think they’d be very fun to watch
Learning most my favorite songs along with ones that hold nostalgia for mea were all made by woman is WILD. But I’m so glad to have learned this and thats awesome! 👏
0:38 I'M TELLING YOU I SAID "oh yeah a straight woman vocaloid producer" BECAUSE OF THE STRAIGHT KAIMEI SONG AND THEN THE OPENLY LESBIAN???? NEVER ASSUMING SOMEONE'S SEXUALITY IM CRYING
Great list! It's a shame that i assumed half of these producers were men. If you have plans for second part, there is producer Ferry ("Comfort zone", "Punch it, punk", "The faulty feline philosophy"), she's neat!
So happy my two faves got mentioned! (hinayukki and Shinjou-P; yes, I am a huge KAITO fan, and it's mostly thanks to them). There were a lot of ones I didn't know, too. iirc, isn't Hinata Haruhana a female vocaloid producer (and singer) as well? She did Nazotoki and Nazokake, among other things
I usually have a few songs that I’m obsessed with and are my go to if I wanna listen to music, and A LOT of them are here in the video Women always eat
I would like to talk about picco, another female vocaloid producer! Her most popular song is called “Melty Magic,” and they have made a song for Sanrio’s character, Cogimyun, called “Happy Girl.” Her style of music is super cute and you should
Oh cool, a heart. Also, how dare you Minnemi? How dare you talk about OSTER Project's lesbian life without putting Summer Idol in the video. You disappoint me. 😢
fummy is also the creator of the witch's house, an rpg horror game from 2012. the amount of whiplash I got when I found out she was also a vocaloid producer-
Strangely, in Vocaloid, this only seems to be with producers. Most of the artists (animators, PV artists, etc.) I've noticed are women, which is pretty cool!
Maybe it's just me, but while most famous Vocaloid producers are guys, a lot of the cover artists who sing popular Vocaloid covers are girls. REOL, Raon Lee, 96Neko, Rachie, JubyPhonic, Lollia, Ado, Lizz Robinett, etc. Heck, Asami Shimoda (Rin and Len's VA) has an entire album of her just singing covers of popular Rin and Len songs.
@@c.j.2856 KANKAN is male? I thought their gender was undisclosed And there are more popular male utaite like Mafumafu, Soraru, Amatsuki, Sou, Trickle, nqrse, etc etc but yeah i think there are more girls who are popular cover artists
Thanks for making this! A lot of these people I either assumed were men, didn't know of at all, or didn't realize they worked on such popular songs. It's nice to know there are more women producers than I realized.
Some others producers that I know of that are either female or non binary : - Shitoo or Xitoo is a female producer mostly known for her dark songs about trigerring subjects of real life. She draws most of her mv's too. She is also the creator and voice provider of two Utaus. She mostly uses Miku and Flower. Some popular works are "Nonsensical Noise", "404:False Image" and "Reversi In Black And White". m.ru-vid.com/show-UC5OIfqLmlyUN6anDP_h0G7Q - Crusher or Cien (her name) is a non binary producer who uses She/Her as pronouns. Known in the English community for dark fantasy songs. She mostly uses Gumi, Miku or diverse Cevio vbs. She became popular with her songs "Echo", "Again" or even "Would You Rather Be" She also draws and illustrates most of her mvs and has created an Utau m.youtube.com/@CrusherP - GHOST is a non binary producer known for their very intricate and unique style amongst the English fans. They have a very distinct style that could be discribed as "chaotic and eerie". They draw and make all of their mvs. They are known to use a variety of voice banks including Vocaloids, Utaus, Cevio and others. Some popular songs are "Honey I'm Home", "Housewife Radio", "The Distortionist". m.youtube.com/@ghostandpals - Vane (formerly known as I0LITE) is a transwomen english producer. She uses a variety of vbs but is mostly known for using Maika, Dex and Gumi. Some popular songs include "A Crow's Trial", "The Dream Granter", "This Is My Heart". m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u6qnqjrvgUU.html - Akali (formerly known as Ringo) is a fairly new japanese producer. Her music is greatly inspired from Maretu's style. For 2 years between 2018 and 2020, she had deleted most of her works, expressing her wanting to stop her activities. But as of early 2020, she has re-upload most of her works and is making Vocaloid originals again. She uses Miku and Gumi but is also known for using Una. Her most popular works include "Encore", "Decision" or "Caretaker". m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-88rlBHXgfeA.html - A personal mention of mine is Mes. She is a popular female utaite who was mostly known back in the days for English covers but also planning big group covers. She is known for covering songs like "Ama No Jaku", "Blessing", "Stepper". But Mes has also collaborated with Deco*27 a few times and has written Chinese and English lyrics for "First Storm" and "Hibana" m.youtube.com/@Mesonly/featured - Athena Z is an English producer with an electronic style. She draws and make most of her mvs. She is known to use Cyber Diva, Gumi and Fukase. Her most popular works are "Rise", "Gifted", "Clockwork". m.youtube.com/@AthenaZ/videos - acane_madder is a Japanese producer who is also an utaite. She is known for collaboration with FurukawaP She has remixed some Wowaka songs who are including in his "Unhappy Refrain" album. She mostly uses Gumi, Luka and Miku Some of her popular works are "Alice", "envy", "Moon And Balloon". twitter.com/acane_madder - AnegoP or Fate is a former female producer known for using the Kagamines and their gender bent counterpart. Her most popular work is her Darling series which includes songs like "Darling☆", "Kimi Ga Suki", "Yakusoku No Hana". m.ru-vid.com - Ankari is a Uruguayan producer known for making Spanish songs and covers. She currently lives in Mexico. She is known to use a variety of vocaloids but is mostly known for her usage of the cryptonloids. Her most popular works includes "Aquí Estoy", "MarQchizan estubo Aqui" ,"La Audición" m.youtube.com/@ankariisme/videos ~~I'll probably edit if I remember other producers~~
Kinoshita must obviously be lady (like most lyrics writers who write about eating pastries, while omitting any smut ever)? Or what do you think about this video title: Poppin' Candy☆Fever! / Kinoshita feat. Otomachi Una・Kagamine Rin +++++++++ Hanako Kiikii a.k.a. Len-kun-to-P is a lady, known for these songs: Len-kun to S*X 1 Len-kun to S*X 2 Len-kun to S*X 3 Len-kun to S*X 4 Len-kun to S*X 5 Len-kun to S*X 6 Len-kun to S*X 7 Len-kun to S*X 8 in which her POV is being Miku under Len-kun :)
There's also NatsuP. She debuted on May 2008 with the Zutto sang by Miku. She is also part of SCL Project. She mainly uses Len, KAITO and Gakupo. Some of her most popular songs are: IMITATION BLACK, Fleeting Moon Flower and LOVELESS XXX. But sadly she's inactive since January 2020.
Such a nice list! I was expecting to find a specific female producer who has lately gained fame, but as she's not here I'll write about her. Pepoyo (ぺぽよ) is a 22-years-old vocalop known for her songs with upbeat melodies and dark lyrics. Her most popular song is Rakuraku Anrakushi (らくらく安楽死) which has over 5M views! I hope more and more females producers get recognised 🥹
Pepoyo's one of my favorite vocaloid producers! Also as an extra fun fact, she made an UTAU called Poyoloid, which she's used in a few songs (usually as just backing vocals)
also can i add ferry. idk if ferry's pronounce are she/her or she/they, but ferry writes from a female perspective in russian. ferry's from Belarus and is famous for "punch it, punk!" and "hardbass night" and also cillia, she's more of a cover artist and works as a tuner a lot, but has a bunch of iconic vocaloid/utau songs :)
Cillia is legendary and that I very much agree with, but as much as I would've loved to see her here I think it's because she's only ever done 2 originals and the last voicesynth thing she did was... a year ago, I think? I love her tuning but I feel like she wanted to silently leave the Vocaloid community to work on L2D models, which is what she currently does.
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but for the past few weeks, Hitoshizuku has been retweeting a lot of homophobic propaganda "news" articles on her Twitter between promos :(
My favorite female vocaloid producer has honestly gotta be Kururingo! She had made some killer bangers throughout her time in the community. “Jessica” & “Daruma-san ga Koronda Ki ga Suru” are still two of my favorite Vocaloid songs of all time, and I still get chills whenever I watch any of her reuploaded music videos because her freaking art style is amazing!
Yesss, Kururingo fans out there! She also illustrated her songs, and the style goes so well with the music, so unique. I think "Punishment Game" is a very popular song of hers, I've seen tons of fan clips on it, within numerous fandoms.
Very happy to see Wonderful Opportunity on one of these videos. They’ve made many of my favourite Kagamine songs, and are in my eyes some of the best when it comes to using them. Other songs I recommend from them are Positive club vs Negative club, TV show now, and, Right brain Left brain. They’ve got loads of albums check them out! Might I recommend doing a video specifically on Non-Japanese producers? Hearing about producers from other places is always super interesting. Maybe you could include people like Ferry (although I’m not sure they use any of the cryptonloids 🤔)
Surprised Crusher wasn't on here, but thanks for all the info! Somehow didn't know REOL was a trio lmao, thought it was just Giga and Reol ;-; But yeah, go listen to Crusher, and Melt Cube, and morbid morsel, and momocashew
You might or might not already know this, but momocashew is Mili's lead singer too! I was pretty shocked when I was playing through Deemo and went "wait, the singer in this cool band is the one who made all those famous Oliver songs?!" If you're not faMILIar, you should go check them out! All their songs are bops, and they also did tracks for other games like Limbus Company and Ender Lilies too!
I don't know why, but I find it unexpectedly funny that the lyrics to some of the most perverted Len songs were not written by a man. On a completely other note, I am also intrigued as to why music production in general, not just Vocaloid production, tends to be male-dominated. It's wayyy more common for a woman to be a singer than a producer for some reason.
Damn, I had no idea so many Vocalo-P's were actually female! Also, I know that she only ever made 2 originals and almost doesn't do voicesynth stuff anymore, but honourable mention: Cillia a.k.a. Kyaami. She might be almost exclusively a VTuber&L2D model maker now, but she had some of, if not THE most legendary tuning skills in the Vocaloid community's history, can also sing and draw. I sound delulu as I say this but I really hope she posts some more voicesynth content someday.
@@AnimeditzVNo. I mean yes, he was also accused of that, but Oster recently made a song with two child-like characters depicted in suggestive situations. One of them is shown naked on bed covering hersef with a blanket, while the other reaches out to her, if I remember correctly. There is also a shot where they are lying on each other, in clothes, but this might be viewed as suggestive in context of the other scene. These two characters are actually Zundamon (ageless) and Kasukabe Tsumugi (18 years old), but the way they are drawn in this PV makes them look like little children and it disturbed some people and made them think that Oster Project is a lolicon. There were a lot of people on Twitter talking about this, being dissapointed about Oster, or even if you look at comment section under the song there's a lot of them there as well. The song is called Zun Tsumuteetee!
i’ve been listening to a lot of these producers for a while and i had no idea they were women. really hope more female producers get more recognition for their work
