Always a pleasure listening to Mr Falana. Insightful, unbiased and erudite legal opinion. One of the heroes of our democracy and country. May history be kind to you sir!
We are indeed blessed in Nigeria to have the likes of Mr Falana. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the cabals holding us captive at the leadership level. They are largely there for their selfish interests. Greed, avarice and sheer incompetence abound among the ruling class. Nigeria is on a shaky foundation. We have to restart our nation. The current one is an amalgamation of nations, and not a country at all. True federalism (regional governance) is clearly the way forward.
Politics and law works hand in hand..Mr.Falana..So what are talking about? How come about that, the total votes casted is far more than the total accredited votes? The same petroleum subsidy you and others protested against in GEJ Government is still on going in APC regime even in its largest scale..Why did you turn blind eye on the issue?
I wonder how judges are appointed. It's glaring why these politicians will never want to appoint this SAN to a noble public office...like CJN or AGF... this sad
Some people want him to say expressly that the supreme verdict was wrong.... You dare not!!! I do not see how what he said supports the verdict. He said he is talking about his jurisprudence (which is the law) and not the politics. He first complained about our democracy being "tribunalized".
God forbid I still do not understand how and why God made me a Nigerian, instead of him just stay fat away from this issue he is complicating it, we all know the system is doom! Say what you expected, simple since this case is complicated the election should be cancelled instead of manufacturing vote not know by INEC, if this stand do anyone expect election in Nigeria come 2023, APC will just use supreme court to elect any one they want to power, Nigeria is almost at the end road and someone is here talking note to hurt his masters
@God's Pikin: Femi Falana should have reached/attained the status of a stateman and as such should be able to call a spade a spade, those big grammer doesn't contribute to nation building.
SAN Femi Falana hit the nail on the head in this interview. Politicians should learn to obey the courts decision. It is a shame. PDP should allow their Lawyers to take up this matter with the Supreme Court instead of having the lame men argue the decision of the Supreme Court.
Yesterday, a certain Dan William was very abusive and insulting to a commentator who said that Falana was caught on the question of Protest. To my greatest surprise, he took offence and went on and on even to a point of calling Nath-Saviour Akortsaha the commentator, a goat after he had attacked his parents who are not even there. Even at that the intelligent and matured Nath-Saviour never reacted harshly order than advised Dan to desist from insulting commentators on social media. It is my hope that Dan William come back to his senses and render and unreserved apology.
No need of asking people to go and wast their time in voting again Nnamdi Kanu is vindicated when he called people not to vote That their vote will not count
@Tafida Gadzamayou are very stupid by saying that, he could have stand like a tree and see fulani boko haram Nigeria Army killed him. But remember the government you pass to another man's children will pass through your generation one day
Strange stance on Imo crisis! I too await the full disclosure of how they arrived at their strange judgement and fuzzy math, given that INEC officials already testified at the tribunals/lower court that the documents tendered by Hope Uzodinma did not emanate from INEC. People should not feel robbed after a supreme court verdict; the streets of Owerri were jam-packed with angry protesters on Saturday, which is a testament to the same fact. Also, Uche Nwosu, Rochas’ son-in-law, was disqualified by the Supreme Court because he was the candidate of both the AA and the APC, so it can be argued that APC had no candidate since they broke the law by fielding two candidates for the governorship election. As we await the SC’s justification, let’s equally bear in mind that in similar cases, the SC insisted on presiding officers from the affected polling units testifying before the court; that precedence was not followed in this case.
Olufemi Karunwi Perhaps you are unaware of the fact that the same supreme court earlier ruled that Uche Nwosu was the candidate of both PDP and AA. That, in and of itself, should disqualify.APC from the race. Also, even if INEC and Ihedioha’s legal team overreached, that does not excuse the justices’ evocation of fuzzy math- how can the vote tally exceed the number of registered voters? Arrant confusion!
Femi falana has lost it, since the very time he defended Tinubu against late gani fawehinmi, many years back. Always supporting the government, thinking he will be made probably the chief judge. He said judges are not properly trained for deciding on elections matters. So is that the reason why they are been biased? Why didn't they stayed away from entertaining any elections matters.
@@ubakammaogbaji5332 what two wrong .. do you listen to that guy.... APC did controversial primary both Rivers so APC Aspirants both Rivers Zamfara state respectively took the party to court. So what are you saying?
How pls can u tell me, are u not Nigerian or u don't have father or Mother? tank to ur parent and let dem be at de for front of protest!!!! Use ur head now goat!!!!
My dear friend forget your sentimental approach of throwing abusive words at a commentator on SOCIAL MEDIA! That sounds very obnoxious with much lack in proper wisdom! Unfortunately, your comments ended up in a way that suggests something is missing! I never knew human beings ever understood and responded to comments from goats. The last time I remembered, only animals of the same species could understand themselves. You're not a Goat, but a genius who could understand and respond to goats. I conclude by calling on you to channel your energy to learn to be civic and cultured. Meanwhile, try and correct the grammatical errors in your comments so it can make more meaning.
@@danwilliams9160 Thank you for your sound approach. But the question I ask of you is, WHY ARE YOU ANGRY? What is the basis for your anger that a person made comments on Social media? It is advisable that you channel that energy correctly and cease from the unwarranted insults.
How credible are the evidences of party agents and police which in some cases show number of votes exceeding accredited votes be used by Supreme Court to declare winner of an election?
Only a dumbass would fault Mr. Falana's analysis of this supreme Court judgement saga. He was very objective and dissected the matter in a way that a right-thinking individual who's not beclouded by sentiment would understand. The fault should be apportioned to PDP's legal team who did a shoddy Job.
Let’s wait for the judgment rather otherwise ‘respected’ persons spewing drivel. SMH 🤦♀️ 1) So only ONE candidate won ALL the votes in those 388 PUs? 2) How come they ended up with more votes than accredited voters? 3) Why did the Court not follow its own precedents to review each PU individually? 4) How can the SC change the tribunal’s finding of fact, without its own evidentiary hearing? Anyway, AGREE that the PDP shouldn’t be taking thus to the streets or resort to unconstitutional measures.
Please sir, with all due respects SIR I feel so so bad that you are biased on this imo state matter and I love and respect you so much But in this matter even though am not a politician but as true Nigerian and lover of democracy i total disagree with you my able SAN APC WON NO SEAT IN THE STATE HOUSE OF REP Even okorocha election into Senate was challenged by inec itself SO CAN YOU TELL NIGERIANS WHERE THEY GOT THAT VOTE ALLOTTED TO THEM BY The COURT From NOW, IF THE DECISION OF The COURT WAS BECAUSE OF CANCELED VOTE THEN THE VOTES CAN NOT BE FOR ONLY APC BECAUSE THERE WERE MANY PARTY THAT TOOK PART IN THE ELECTION SO HOW COME THE COURT ALLOTTED ALL THE CANCELLED VOTE TO APC DON'T YOU THINK THE RIGHT THING WOULD HAVE BEEN RE-RUNS OF ELECTIONS WHERE VOTE WERE CANCELLED SO THAT THE COURT CAN BE SEEN TO be FAIR IN THIER JUDGMENT IN order to uphold the spirit of democracy Where vote were illegally cancelled there is always a rerun To ascertain WHO won there in a free and fair manner
Total makes no sense ..I'm sorry but this Falana man isnt that brilliant.. be there speaking grammar and Fulani has taken over ur supreme court ..ur CJN isnt even well trained in Nigerian law but sharia judge..and Falana is there speaking useless grammar
