Mine is simple. Just laugh it off. The country is stressful so anything that brings laughter helps to reduce stress. Shetima should laugh it off but be reminded of what standard appearance should be as he looks for the highest office in the land. If he becomes the VP eventually they will be cartooning him everyday for the rest of his life even after having left office. A public officer they say is like a public utility and is subject to public consumption. If you don't like it that way, stay at home! They say YOU ARE ADDRESED THE WAY YOU DRESS
Agree to laughing it off. It's good that Shettima is trending. Hopefully, that will lead to people wanting to know more about him. He's an exceptional speaker.

In Nigeria it will be foolish to listen to the message and leave the messenger because they tell us what we want to hear and what everyone knows. Look at the antecedent of the messenger, his earlier position on issues etc. Remember "restructuring my foot" statement and Peter Obi is only fit to be igbo president. With this type of position from an office seeker, what message can I get from Shettima, his absurd dressing is not important here but his mindset.
@ Bassey, Shettima is going to be the vp for his achievements in Bornu and the way he tackle the fulani bandits and boko haram insurgents in his State. His president Bola Tinubu is known by all as a man who have shown leadership with tremendous achievements in Lagos. These are the messages. Atiku has been described by his Boss to be a prolific looter. Obi Peter was unable to backup his talks with his performance as a former governor because he looted Anambra dried. He was quoting data that are not correct and focused on talking bad about pmb govt. Let us talk to the issues if we want a better Nigeria. U can hear everyone talking about it, that Tinubu is the only candidate Nigerians can point at as the best among all when it comes to how he included every tribes in his government as governor of Lagos state. This is what we want at the federal level.

When you see representatives of APC and PDP insulting fellow Nigerians like Fani-kayode just did, you can tell they have given up. Nigerians are just having fun with the little freedom they have left after everything else has been taken from them.

What presentation did shetima make that people didn't capture because of his attire? that he said he and his principal tinubu will replicate what they did in their various states as governors all over the country, is that the message the nigerian citizens want to hear? He shetima was alleged to have nurtured Boko Haram in his state, is that what he is going to replicate all over the country? That we should take him serious? Lagos state rapid development started with alhaji Latif jakande, general buba mawa and not tinubu. Tinubu was alleged to have looted Lagos State and taken over most of the state choice properties which he has not denied, is that what he is bringing to the table? That he called tinubu a city boy, is that what nigerians should rejoice about? or because he favoured some of his political friends while in office as governor, therefore, the presidency of nigeria is automatically his entitlement? Atiku delivered a better message than shetima, so why is the press trying to add flesh to what he shetima said or make it look spectacular? The 2023 campaign and elections is not for showmanship.

Shettima who articulated his points on how to tackle the economic downturn of the nation, the plans to curb terrorism and development of infrastructure; or the lawyer who fought over conference bags and food? What a people!
He said nothing. He was going to lead the army to the warfront. The country is facing an economic problem which his principal was part of, and that he was going to replicate the Borno situation in Nigeria. Are those things he said of any value?
May be we should focus on shettima's speech where he said he will handle the military while president handle economy. Does he know something we don't know? I thought the president is the commander in chief.

Message and Messenger package are both important because you are going there to package the country. If you don't know how package yourself how will you know how package a country?
If the messenger is not welcomed then his message will be ignored also. That's how public presentation works. Do you mean the whole APC didn't see him till he got there to talk. It means that's how they will close eyes and disgrace the nation or not doing proper consultation on issues.
What happened at the NBA conference is a low-down dirty shame. I have been trying to engage the services of a reliable Lawyer/Barrister for some months now to know avail. I was even asked to pay 100K just to write a letter on my behalf using information that I provided to the Barrister. Just look at Lawyers behaving like touts and hooligans at their own conference! The rampage at the NBA conference is shameful however, lawyers are humans too and will exhibit normal and expected human traits in specific circumstances. Those officiating the conference should have made better and adequate provisions. Thank you guys. Both Ojy and Rufai are missed in this program.

Don’t pay attention to Dr Abati. I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s an APC mole disguised as a journalist on Arise TV. He was attempting to argue that Shetima (even with his confirmed Boko Haram links) was the one with the best presentation/ intentions for Nigerians during the conference! The other two (Obi and Atiku) were inconsequential! Dr Abati (I can now confirm) is a ‘consistent journalist’ - with a flawed and biased perspective aimed at favouring the establishment!
Ruben said shettima made a better speech than all the candidates.. I don’t know what Ruben heard o but what I heard was not different from what buhari said in 2015 and that is why people didn’t pay attention to what he said.
On the lawyer’s rampage, why don’t we look at root or cause other than expectation or justification? This thing can happen anywhere there is improper planning and rivalry.

It is not about total packaging; rather, it is about Nigeria's challenges and the best candidate to solve them. As opposed to the attire, let's concentrate on the powerful message. He undoubtedly dazzled the audience and outperformed the other candidates. That dressing was done on purpose to attract attention and produce the desired outcome.
For me Shettima in his speech succeeded in making no point. The only thing he succeeded in doing is entertaining us as clown. Apc has got nothing to tell Nigerians apart from what we are seeing daily.
We no longer care about what APC say they will do: They said they will bring $1 to ₦1. Today $1 =₦700 * Total Electrification in 1 year. Today we have went down from 6 to 4 MHz * 10,000,000 Nigerians out of poverty today we have over 100,000,000 in poverty. Rice sent from ₦9,000 to ₦40,000 etc Why would anyone listen to them again?
Ruben Abati, this question is for you. Despite whatever Shettima has said in that forum, Do you think APC no matter whatever they presented at the Bar conference deserves to be come back to power? Also Shettima’s tie is a suicide robe and no a fashion. The ones are not lawyers but thugs. How can you pursue justice with these type of lawyers and get it? Very sad.
