The over spending on clothing is also an act of lack of modesty and I got convicted about being prudent. 🙏🏿

Spirit told me I need to dress more modest as God's daughter and I'm struggling to fully understand that concept. I don't expose a lot of skin and I'm tall and skinny so things naturally shrink on me so I'm a little confused. Thank you so much for this ❣️

Hmm well seek the Lord love and ask Him to reveal to you exactly how He wants you to be more modest. He will tell you. You are so welcome.

I never thought one could be lustful with clothes 😞💔 But God! Jesus has worked in me! And still! Dr. Michelle I appreciate you soo You speak the truth WITH love.♥️ Heart breaking to think wow am I offending My Lord and Savior? He is so gracious and patient. The Lord has already very so gently spoke to me about my gym wear. 💓

God is so wonderful bringing these things to our attention so gently and helping to conform us into the image of His son. And thank you so much darling!

First of you did a good job talking about a difficult topic. Modesty was always taught to me as a weapon to not sin by temping your brother and causing him to stumble. The result of causing a man to stumble was you get assaulted. We have all heard it, if Jane would not have worn X she would not have been assaulted. You did not shame listener and I like it was not a list of do's and don'ts but about principle. I do have some confusion the book you read from speaks about offending God with blurring the sexes and uses examples from Hollywood. Marilyn Monroe was a sex symbol and Hugh Hefner did pornography. These examples reinforce the idea that women are for men’s pleasure. I don’t understand.

Thank you love. And I am glad you were able to digest it without feeling judged. So in the book she was saying that this world went from one extreme (appreciating a woman's physique) which then got perverted, to then completely going the other direction of the extreme ere... of making it appear that there are no gender differences. Which is the state of the world now.I hope that helps clarify. Thank you for asking.

I love this. I hate that some people only think you can be modest if you wear a hijab. There are ways to be fashionable and modest that isn’t a one way fit all.

Hijab is Modesty in your actions, the way you talk, the way you act and the way you treat people, I am Muslim and hijab is more than just covering your hair. I just wanted to make sure I clarified this. 🙏🏿

@@MoniqueSWarden Thank you for explaining. I have always dressed modestly, but my husband has been making a lot of comments saying that I need to wear headwraps and no longer style my hair. He makes me feel like I’m a “loose woman “ for enjoying wearing modest hairstyles (no color, exaggerated cuts,etc)
@MoniqueSWarden
@MoniqueSWarden 7 месяцев назад
@@MsWillita8there is no compulsion in Islam, and it’s our choice to cover our heads or not. However that’s with full understanding that it is pleasing to God for us Muslimahs to do so. It’s highly encouraged for this reason. I pray you and your husband find peace and compromise where this is concerned. Modesty, is not easy but being exposed and scrutinized isn’t either. In my faith my beauty is for my husband and only him, but I struggle too. So may God make it easy for us all who desire to please Him 🙏🏿

I can relate to your sharing about being a lukewarm Christian and not dressing modestly. I even remember thinking that I did not want to be one of those “goody” Christian women (meanwhile in parties & clubs) but the Lord changed my heart 🤍 I joyfully gave away so many clothes. Nothing better than finally surrendering to Jesus. I didn’t realize I was so blinded.

Thanks for this video Dr. Daf. You make content like this so relatable and digestible. I used to love love my form fitting clothing but as of last year God has really begun to transform the way I dress. Now instead of wanting to be sexy, I desire to feel comfortable, covered and fashionable. It’s a true testament to the work God is doing I my life I’m so grateful.

To be honest, I love all your channels. I fee this sense of peace and contentment and a hunger to be better and I really thank you for that. It is like therapy on its own. Talking about modesty, I am an African woman built like your typical African woman, hour glass figure. I was raised in a traditional African home and modesty was always emphasized and it stuck with me even as I grew and became independent living on my own. Most people are always frustrated because they feel I am hiding my assets and the world deserves to see. I always tell them, my body is not for public consumption. I am always covered and COMFORTABLE. Now despite all my efforts, my body structure still comes out and you get comments from the opposite sex and that still makes me uncomfortable

I love the brutal honesty and the general message of biblical modesty. I started my modesty journey 1 year into marriage, and 3 years later ( it has DEFINITELY been an interesting journey!😭) I can now say I actually feel more confident, and even sexy by dressing modestly. There's something about leaving something for the imagination that's sexy to me; maybe it's the mystery? 😉 My husband agrees! APTTMH❤️🙏🏿

I have always dressed pretty modestly. For some reason I preferred to be covered. My family and friends are always telling me what a great body I have and I should show it off, but I don't want the attention. On vacation, I do dress a bit less conservative, but overall I feel like you can be sexy without showing it all ❤
