Beautiful playing Sir. This tune is definitely the new Stairway or smoke on the water as far as been in a music store. Staff hold their breath these days when they see someone pick up a strat :-)
that's the secret with these pickups, keep 'em low to the pickguard and they will chime like a mofo! I have the same set in my #1 for probably 10 years, lol ...great playing btw!
You mean keep them closer to flush with the pick guard? How does that affect the output volume? I’m try to have my Strat compete with my Tele and PRS for cut in a live setting
@@danielcgomez Got any rough pickup height measurements? I'm having trouble balancing mine to all be even in volume. The bridge always ends up a lot quieter than the neck and middle, even if higher. Are yours all at the same height? Thanks!
@@xderiwx I have my Bridge a lot closer to the strings(due to the string vibration being less as its closer to the bridge). Here are my current heights(taken while holding down string at the last fret, and measuring from the pickup poles to the string underside): Neck ~ Low 'E' 0.100", High 'e' 0.110" Middle ~ Low 'E' 0.125", High 'e' 0.120" Bridge ~ Low 'E' 0.085", High 'e' 0.095" Those are what I have settled on... I might go back at it and experiment with a higher Middle height to see if it affects the 'Quack'. You can probably try out my settings. BTW, I'm using 10-52 Gauge D'Addario Strings.
I just bought an American Performer Strat online, and I hate the pickups. Just can’t get this tone with them. They don’t sound like a Strat. Closer to really thin P90’s. And the neck/mid position just sounds like a clear humbucker. So frustrated. Might swap pups for these.
57/62 my all time favourite for classic strat tone. Have them stock in fender japanese Stratocaster For boutique strat tone nothing on earth beats the fender customshop hw 57 pu's
