Fender 61 Custom Shop Stratocaster | Wildwood 10 Demo through Fender 64 Deluxe Reverb Custom Handwired Reverb : Strymon BlueSky V2 Spring Delay: Diamond Memory Lane Jr OD: Analogman King of Tone
Sorry for the low talking audio. I need to get a lapel mic. You are very kind. I was feeling it was not my best playing. But a decent showcase of the Strat tones.
@@gair1944 I had the same amp and sold it. The amp was too bright even if I used the normal channel. I tried SA-GA64 speaker but still treble was not pleasant. And also hissing noise was annoying due to both channels shares same reverb...
@@bzbuzz76 I'm debating about trying the 64 Princeton Reverb Custom Handwired. But I still love this Deluxe. At the volume I play the hiss is barely there. But if I kick an overdrive pedal on, it obviously gets more pronounced.
@@gair1944 64 handwired princeton amp is my #1 now after sold 64 handwired DR. Princeton has beautiful treble and it's got some mid range to it. Also it's not too loud where I can set the volume around 4 at home where it starts breaking up a bit. No hissing issue! Reverb is great as well. Currently i am using SA-GA64 10 inch speaker and it's great
No, I do not find the Wildwood 10 PU's to be dark, mid heavy or little openness nor lacking top end sparkle. Absolutely NOT. They are sweet, clear, classic balanced, and have nice even treble response without being ice picky.
@@gair1944 I ask because I just purchased one and it sounds like what I described above. Maybe I just need time to adjust? My only other strat is a custom shop dual mag strat and those hand wound pickups sounds very clear, “stratty” yet full and sweet, brighter for sure and slightly lower output. They allow for more articulate picking dynamics. These WW10 pickups require a different pick attack.
