Fender 68 Custom Vibro Champ, expensive boutique amp, crap quality?

Bougth this new from Thomann. It wont start until I turn off/on the on/off buttom again. And when its not working theres a notebale hum (buzz?) Seems to me its crap quality. I did send it back and got the my money back, never problems with that @ Thomann. But Fender these days? Ive seen more videos like this. I guess I Ill stuck to my old Fender Hotrod Deluxe, first generation made in USA.
i wont buy another of these. THIS ONE GAVE ME BAD VIBES.

I had the same - local amp guys changed the transformer, got right of the hum and buzz. It does sound great when working but I also would not buy again at that price.

It’s actually not that bad once you change the speaker and the tube. “ Psionic Audio” has a video where he walks you through the process. Great wealth of knowledge for amps.

This one is the first amp I bougt in 50 years thats broke up from new. I think thats extremely bad for an expensive 5 watt guitar amp. Glad Thomann took it back. I just go on with my first generation Hotrod Deluxe.

I thougth it was so bad when a new and trhat expensive little amp didnt work so I dint even wanted it repaired. I just keep playing on my Hotrod first generation. Works very well also on low bedroom volume

Exactly what happened with mine, yours, his, theirs... Fender are just bugglars at this point. Had to change all the tubes within the first week .WTF And had the same crackles and hiss, rattle or whatever with the 68 Custom Princeton.. Fender...

I really like mine. Think you've got a bad one here. It's not a boutique amp though or the price would likely be double! Just regular Fender production.
