Squier/Fender nailed the Seafoam Green color perfectly! I love the flexibility of the Tele's tone capabilities. A Strat always has a uniform sound as does a Les Paul but a Tele, I'll take every day of the week.

Folks! Dylan Pickups are THE REAL DEAL! I bought a set of Dylan’s Center Punch for my ES-335S (solid body), specifically for the coil split features. I have converted the switch that activates coil split to an ON/OFF/ON, so I get North Coil/Series/South Coil options. The Center Punch set performs flawlessly. Best of all, when I had an issue, Dylan took care of me super quick. I have an HSH T-style that a friend and I built together, and I plan to use Dylan pickups for that replacement. Thanks, Dylan!

Uncle Dylan, thank you for supporting USA manufacturing. That said. I went with a JV Modified. I cant find a USA I like without going custom shop. The JV is everything I would order, but I would have gotten ash. I don’t mind the basswood at all though. And for a grand.. It rocks the pickups are good, nothing Id change except for top loader. Even came with 4way series mod I always do anyway. The AVIIRI’s are rockin guitars. I hope you dig it! Check out a JV man.. I bet you’d dig them too. Im a MIJ Fender fan.

Beautiful! That is a bucket-list guitar for me. I have a Sunburst Ash American Tele that I will probably eventually sell for seafoam or sonic blue. However, it's so perfect in every way I can't bring myself to do it!

Sadly it DOESN'T in person, i received the Pro 2 in that MYSTIC SURF GREEN which is what FENDER CALLS IT, I SENT right back, Couldn't stand that green, its like SPARKLY green, I Ordered this VINTAGE II which is a much nicer green and FENDER calls SURF GREEN.

Congrats on your new telecaster! I have the same model in surf green and absolutely love it. One of the best telecaster neck pickups I've ever played. It's a keeper!

I picked up the 1961 vintage II strat at launch in olympic white, great guitar (needed some setup from factory though). The clay dots really please me among other specs.

I really think it's worth comparing the American Pro II to the American Performer Telecaster with Yosemite pickups. It's significantly more affordable and echoes the essence of vintage specs far more than the American Pro II model.

I imagine the neck is to die for or at least great. Fender necks can be great……Which can make a huge difference in the feel

About pickup polarity: I got a Fender 57/62 loaded strat pickguard - it's not hum cancelling. Positions 2/4 are maybe a bit noisier than 1/3/5. I think I read that someone sells a special version that is hum-cancelling. My 66 Jaguar is hum-cancelling.

Fenders vintage brass barrel saddles are a continuing fail. I cut string grooves in mine to eliminate the constant string spacing issues, especially on a 7.250 radius.

Abu my fingers out could not quit playing the sound that centerpunch was so sweet and soothing to my ears I can only pay like one cord you know and just but I just sit here and strong that one cord cuz it sounded so good the first real american-made center punch noise maker

Hey Dylan what is the difference between a laminate and slab?

Laminate is what you would see on a fender rosewood fretboard right now, if you look at the neck where it meets the body you'll see the rosewood curves with the neck -- it is laminate as in "thin". This was because when they used slab style (a thicker piece that is flat on the bottom, not curved), the maple and rosewood would swell and shrink differently as the humidity changes. Some people say there is a tonal difference, I won't get into that.

A slab board has a flat/slab bottom and a radiused top. A laminate/veneer fretboard has an arch/radius top and bottom, like an onion skin or orange peel (if that makes any sense). It's easier to draw than describe.
