Done relic'd her they did eh? Sounds killer though, you can't say she don't! The great thing about relics is they feel so broken in and comfortable and I bet this one is no different! would love to play it and own it!
I can't be the only who feels that the Fender Customn Shop has lot its way a bit. I mean, what's meant to have happened to this guitar? Or who ever saw a real Nocaster that looked like this? Sounds great tho.
Sounds great, looks ridiculous. No subtlety at all. Not even close to realistic wear and tear unless it was rescued from a fire or found at the bottom of a pond and magically rehabilitated. The Custom Shop needs to do better. A relic job is one thing but this is cartoonish and trying too hard to be authentic when it clearly isn’t.
Fender’s lost the plot on these Relics. And I say that as a fan, when it’s done tastefully. Go look at real vintage guitars. Most are what would be a Fender light to maybe medium Relic. The Journeyman series captures fairly well. This shipwreck is just embarrassing.
