This guide should get you started in making the most of this amplifier and in accessing the free software.
Fender fuse is now discontinued and Fender have done their best to bury it in spite of compatible amps still being on sale but here is a link to the software I have provided for you myself.

I'm afraid not. It does have an aux socket though and will work with a looper.

Very nicely done. I wish there was a comprehensive review this good when they first came out. I've had my Mustang I for a few years now and I notice that most of the videos I see on You Tube show this amp sounding on the tinny side. When adjusted properly, they have a much better bottom end and sound much fuller than just about every demo view I've seen with them. Granted, most of the people who do demo's are usually just trying them out and don't actually own one, and if they do own , haven't spent much time with it. Of course the best way to dial it in , is to use the basic amp models without all the effects.

I got it for $100 CAD at a pawn shop a couple years back. Bloody amazing little amp for the money and I still haven't even gotten in to use the Fuse software. Think it is finally time I unlock this baby's full potential.

thanks a lot for the guidance..! that was helpful... one question though, if i am playing a drum backing track via my ipod into the aux input of the amp, will the usb recording catch both my playing(guitar) along with the backing track or just the guitar?

No. Its just records the guitar if you do that. However if your plugged into a windows or mac via USB and also plug a 3.5mm audio cable into the aux of the amp coming from the computer then play the track in audacity as you record your guitar as well then you get playback of your drum or backing track with your guitar as well. If you would like a tutorial for that putting on the channel. I will do so as soon as possible.

Amazing video. Very helpful demo. I am using Reaper64 on Mac to record my guitar playing. Initially, there was noticeable lag but after tweaking the buffer settings a bit, there is almost no delay provided there's only one track armed in Reaper. When more than one track is enabled, there's quite a bit delay. Is it just me or is it a common issue?

It doesn't seem to play well with a DAW but it will do it as long as you don't push it too much. Where it shines is fender fuse. I tend to record using audacity and then import the track into my DAW.

Believe it or not it was a 2006ish cruiser by crafter st120 with rosewood neck. Got it a few years ago from a pawn shop. The only part I've had to replace is the jack socket. Not bad for £60

I was messing about with digital amps and software many many years ago and did not like it. This actually sounds really good and it looks very easy to use. Great demonstration, this is exactly what I was looking for in a demo video.

Hello, nice video! Just a quick, maybe silly question, what if I just wanna use distortion like in any other amp, since I don't see a distortion on/off switch, Do I just turn the volume up? Thanks!

There isn't a clean channel as such. You can get one by using the Vox model amp and turning the gain down. There are a few different distortion pedals to choose from on fender fuse, you don't have to turn the volume up full to get distortion like in the old days. You can have insane metal distortion at low volume if you really want. Hope this helps. Also if you need fender fuse check the description.

Thank you for this video. I've been using the Mustang 1 v2 for several years but have had on point of interest I don't understand. The Amber bank is factory presets and "can only be modified using Fender Fuse". When using an Amber bank, I can make changes without Fuse i.e. treble, mod, reverb etc. and all the effects. What am I missing? Would appreciate any explanation just to have a better understanding of the amp. Thank you.

I can't promise it will work but if you install fender fuse and do the firmware update then it may help

Thanks for the tips! I just bought this puppy and Guitar Center but I didn't get the manual or USB cable. It uses just a standard USB, correct? I also wouldn't have known to register it to get my programs! Cheers!

I ordered this amp a couple of days ago, and now, after doing a bit more research, it looks like fuse is gone. I got it downloaded from the link in the description, but am not sure if things will work when I get the amp. Do you reckon I'd still be able to register the amp on fender and get the ableton and amplitube stuff? Is it also possible to use the amp with just amplitube, without fuse? I'm not knowledgeable about amps, just wanna chug some metal during free time and learn how to play guitar better. Been doing research on the amps, but it's got overwhelming since I found out fuse is done after ordering my amp. I'm glad I stumbled upon your video and am pleased to see that even though Fender are not doing much to help us out, there are still users that help out each other. Cheers \m/

It will do amplitube just about ok but it's greatest strength is Fender fuse. I am going to continue to use this amp and share all I learn. I just got the footswitch and will do a video on it once I've worked it all out. If you need fender fuse there is a link in the description and from what I gather Ableton are happy to give a serial in exchange for the serial on these amps.

My amp is making a buzzing/static noise & it doesn’t work when I plug my guitar in. I thought it was the cord connecting them but I bought a new one & it still doesn’t work. Has anyone had the same problem?

Cheers, mate! I was interested in the Marshall MG15 but they didn't have any in stock. After watching the demo video from PMTVUK I ordered the Mustang V2, but was a bit worried when I read Fender aren't supporting it anymore. I'm definitely going to check out some more of your videos when the amp gets here and I can have some hands on with it.

Sorry, as Fender is trying to bury Fender fuse you won't be able to register for the license code on there. Maybe I'll have to do a video on a reputable free DAW.

Already solved!. Visited the Ableton's "Request a serial" page and sent them a photo of the amp. They sent me an email with the serial number. What an excellent service. I leave this comment in case someone else needs it. It is still possible!

Do i still need that code from behind if i wanna use the software ? Can i make it so i can hear it only in my pc ? Also can i have some pedals to make it sound like math rock in software and hear it in my amp and pc?

Read the description. Theres a onedrive link to fender fuse. You can hear it from the pc if you use amplitube custom shop You can have the amp play through the Pc in a round about way using the line in. I have tried real pedals with it and so far the only one to respond well is the ibanez tube screamer. Yes there are plenty of virtual pedals on the software.

hello, I downloaded the fender fuse app on computer and plugged in my mustang 1 amp, but it says no amp connected? I rebooted my computer and it still said no amp connected. Is there something im missing?

Im afraid its not supposed to play through the computer. You just use the computer to access fender fuse. If you want to use the computer then you can use the amp as a USB interface for amplitube custom shop. Get the cleanest most neutral tone you can first and turn your master volume all the way down to do this.

Looks like I won't get any joy from Fender on the Fender collection on Amplitube custom shop. However you can still use Fender custom shop, some free stuff on there that's not bad 😀

Might be a stupid question but can I play quiet enough with this amp when needed? By that I mean not disturbing the shit out of people living with me. So basically is it a good bedroom amp :)?

You can. I do it all the time. Bare in mind though. It does have a headphone socket so really you could play like you're Pete Townshend and no one would know.

I do not have any experience with the latter I'm afraid. Fender seem to have done their best to bury the fender fuse software so I'm just looking for a secure way to share my copy that I still have the installer for. I expected better from fender considering its still on sale. For this reason my next amp will be old school analogue.

In 2020 Microsoft Silverlight will no longer be supported which is essential for Fender Fuse. Fender is no longer supporting Fender Fuse which is a shame! They should be rewriting the software! How long will you be able to keep using Fender Fuse?

Just because it is not supported after that doesn't mean it won't work. Make sure you have a copy of the latest version before support stops. Admittedly it does have a somewhat limited lifespan because of this but should still last a few years. For this reason I am considering going all analogue. I have tweeted at fender and asked them to reconsider and told them how people are still buying these amps @steventwangs maybe futile but I can only ask.

@@Steventwangs I did just that! Downloaded the latest version of Silverlight and Fender Fuse and stored it on my NAS. It still works great on my Windows 10 PC. Not planning on replacing my Fender Mustang amp. By the way, check out the Andrwoid Remuda app. Works great!

No guarantees and I don't have a Mac so I can't vouch for its authenticity, I would do a backup first just in case. If you do use it and it works and is malware free could you let me know please?

@@Steventwangs I tried this software earlier but my Mac is rejecting and blocking plugins after the software is installed and running. Has anyone on this board had any luck since Fender have taken away support??

Maybe try turning off any antivirus. It could be that your version of mac is too recent to run it. From what I gather it seems happiest on snow leopard. I dont have a mac so will be unable to do any testing I'm afraid. If you reply with the error message verbatim I will see what I can find out though ;-)

@@Steventwangs thank you I do have it on my laptop, I was asking for a friend. I will share the new link. I found you need fuse if you want a clean tone, all of the presets seem to be heavy on effects and distortion.

Yes, it appears that after selling a heck of a lot of mustang 1 v2 amps that fender no longer supports the fender fuse app it self. That doesn't mean that the guitar community won't support you. I currently have plans to share some of my presets with all 13 of you in the near future and show you how to load them onto your mustang memory banks.
