Here is a quick solution for Fender strap locks, or any other rubber strap lock, causing the strap buttons to unscrew and back out. These strap locks work well many electric guitars with standard strap buttons including Stratocasters (Strats) and Telecasters (Teles), if an appropriate strap is used. Thanks for watching.

Or you can rub the internal part of the rubber qith some silicone spray or other greasy lubricant do stop friction between the strap and rubber stopper, that can work as well

WoW, I've been thinking this for a while now about these rubber strap blocks. I noticed the same thing but nobody mentions this. That's why I just went back to using Dimarzio and Dunlop locks

Hey man it’s not the strap block it,s your pin strap it happened the same to me and when they retight mine it doesn’t get any flit. Send it to a luthier to tight your pin strap. I hope it works!

You're best bet is to drill it out and put a much more substantial screw in it. If that instrument means anything to you you shouldn't trust that 3/4 inch piddly ass screw. Put you no less than a 2 inch deck screw. Too many people neglect that and it's a shame.

Thanks Max. Strings are stock Fender SuperBass 45-100.

are they compatible with Schaller buttons? cause I have schallers installed on my guitars but I lost the original locks

I haven't tried them with Schaller strap buttons but it would probably be a really tight fit.

@@hoganshideout no I mean the button installed on the guitar (the ones you replace) without the ones on the strap

@@chojinkid Right. I'm not sure, but the space for the strap on the schaller strap buttons is pretty tight. I don't know if there would be enough room for a strap and the strap lock/washer on them. They are really cheap, though, so give them a try.
