I love everyone about this guitar but the neck shape profile of the Modern D, I would prefer more of the modern C neck profile

Now I’ll be interested in this. I’ve got a thing for gold pick guards and unusual dark colours. Also interested in the noiseless Stratocastor pick ups and how they sound in comparison to traditional strat tones

Wow, that looks great.

He forgot the nut width is wider instead of 1.65 its 1.69 ish. Which is strange for long time strat players, but gibson players might like. The 10-14” compound radius, which is fine after just a few hours if not used to it. The D neck shape isnt a D at all, and the further up you go the flatter and flatter that “D” gets.. The “D” is a thin “D” down at your cowboy chords and really starts to flatten out past the 5-7th fret. The “rolled” fretboard isnt rolled, not even a little, its a lie. The noiseless are good unless you are a traditionalist, most strat guys are traditionalists so may not dig it. Mine is quite dark even though its an ebony board. So you will be tweaking the brightness on your amp. Everything else is just a strat with a 2point bridge which is perfectly fine. I like the guitar, but plan to swap the neck with a deep C Warmoth. When they say modern they arent kidding with the neck its like playing a slim taper SG which you may like. Think of the neck as half Gibson slim taper and half Fender. It takes time to adjust to it. But way better than that stupid ultralux augmented D nobody asked for or wanted. You can find them used or demo or b stock return cheap enough, if you dont dig the neck call up Warmoth. Just keep the old neck for if you decide to sell it some day. It would absolutely slay with mod boost and TBX..

Nice lookiing guitar Shane. Although I wish Fender would use a toggle switch instead of an S1 switch. I've had too many S1 switches quit working.

The problem with the Ultra serie is the S1 switch is SEALED! You can't clean it and it fails easily (personal experience). It is not so easy to find a replace outside US due to the lacking of a valid fender support. I sent back mine.

Rather just have a roadhouse deluxe, has most of the features that this start has: noiseless pickups, locking tuners, s1 switch, contoured heel joint, just seems like a better bang for the buck

Unfortunately for me I can't play Strats because of how close the volume knob is to the E-string. I constantly turn my volume down by accident.
